For those of you who require the dumbing down of internet verbiage, that was a joke.
EDIT: fuck a flame suit.

No, typically should be 6 weeks which is what my sales rep always states. I have week 15 production and he said my ride should be here in May. Also, my last car I ordered took 6 weeks to get in my hands once production started.

So I went there on Saturday afternoon with a lady friend who is also into cars (she just ordered a pearl gray S5) to take a look at AW as I have only seen the M2 3-4 times in LBB before at showrooms. I have however seen the X5M in LBB outside in different light conditions and on different days. I wanted to take somebody to see the colors and cause she wanted to see the car that I ordered. It was nice to see she thought it looked way better in person then in pictures, and that she fell in love with the car after seeing it. The AW was parked in the same spot as the previous people have seen it. Seems like nobody drives it as its gotten dirty and the brakes have not been touched in a while. After seeing AW (which looks nice) I have 0 doubt in my mind that my decision on LBB was the right choice, for me at least. The flares and the angles on AW are less noticeable, and in my opinion it makes the car look too plain. Also the gaps in the hood and body panels are much more noticeable on AW. Standing beside the AW for 5 mins like a weirdo and looking at it in every angle I imagined it in MG and BSM and had the same sort of feeling, that it would blend in to much and look like a regular BMW. Even though I don't think that you can go wrong with any of the colors, and will look good in any color (depending on your style) I just feel like the blue makes it feel that much more special and unique (even though it will probably be the most popular). I also think to make AW look good you would have to buy a bunch of CF bits, and even after that LBB would still look better stock. AW/MW just looks so much better on the M3/4. I have always been an LBB fan so obviously I am a little biased. Wish I could see it in BSM but doubt it would change my mind much.
A few parking spots away there was an estoril blue. Estoril is definitely leaning more towards purple end of the blue spectrum, while LBB is leaning more towards the teal end of the spectrum (and no it doesn't look green). They are both BLUE cars. I would never call estoril purple, and I would never call LBB green. I feel like a lot of people on these forums have never seen LBB and are going by some weird online pics. My friend said she loved the blue, her eyes kept going back towards the blue, which I agree with. She also said she would prefer the blue. And for what its worth she said if she was driving and saw LBB drive by her she would take a second look at it or stare at it where as in AW she said she wouldn't give it a second look. Was good to get a perspective from an outsider. After I left BMW HQ I went down the street to grab a coffee at starbucks. There was an AY M4 that was parked outside sideways taking up 2 parking spots. Great color, but after seeing the M2 and then looking at it, it looked like a boat (no offence to anyone) Just my 2 cents. |

went there yesterday at around 2PM, it was an overcast sky and the LBB looked absolutely stunning, i actually liked it so much that i also went again around 5:30PM...but by that time the LBB had turned teal!!, i really thought the less light the less teal but it doesnt seem to be that way as it was already starting to get dark, the GF loves the colour but she even said she could not picture me driving it, its not just the pics its not just whether its day time or night its something else in the sky thats changing the colour ...i still think there will be a few surprised people when they take delivery of their LBB car, even some that have seen the car a few times already
