This is what I'm not keen on. I like the design of the AA EL and the fact it doesn't add too much noise down low and keeps with the sound profile of the car. I also like the idea of keeping the exhaust stock. But don't like the idea of cutting it. Even if I can part out later that would mean clamps between the OEM exhaust and mid pipes…

I've received different explanations from different distributers. Here in Germany I was told the M2 CS specific version is for ECE / TUV approval. Since the CS has ~40hp more than the Comp, it can't use the same part number to be certified.

However, a distributer in the states told me that the Slip-on for the Competition comes with a controller module for valves and the new CS specific version does not. Makes no sense to me.

Anyone think that the exhaust seems louder in sport than sport plus? Wondering what the aftermarket perception is if using factory valve control.

Louder in sport plus than sport
Valve control with BimmerLink

The link pipe comes with the sound kit, not the slip on section.

Valve control with BimmerLink
I don't hear any sound level difference between comfort, sport, and sport plus. Opening the valves makes a big difference however.

It is always loud regardless of mode if you press the loud pedal. If you don't, then it isn't. Just as it should be.

Hi! Are there any OPF versions of CS equipped with Akrapovic slip-on?

Also if I understand correctly, for slip-on installation (Akrapovic or other) the stock exhaust needs to be cut?

I'm surprised how good the stock CS exhaust sounds after using BimmerLink to keep the exhaust valves open all the time. I'll try to get some videos up. Still hoping to hear more of the CS with EL AA mid pipe and MPE. AA said that the combo is "very raspy" and they don't suggest it 😒

Any sound clips with some downshifts? Sounded like you had the DCT and I'm curious how aggressive rev matching downshifts sound. Sounds good!

Heads up that it's not my car. Found it on YouTube. Seemed like this was the full AA setup with EL midpipe and tips. The factory system has a really nice sound. It's a little quiet when it isn't being called upon to expel aggressive work

One of these days I'll get a compatible WiFi dongle and do this. I have the Orange MHD one that works on E-series cars and will work (albeit more slowly) with F-series cars with MHD….but apparently Bimmercode doesn't get along with it.

Daehler M2 Cs Exhaust

G’day
I looked at this option and If you go onto their online web-store their is nothing available.

Mind you I didn’t do an online enquiry .

I’m tending towards to the AA EL resonated cat back centre pipes and BMW MP rear exhaust combination.

Just my 2 bobs worth !

Cheers
Bruce

This is the route I planned to go and the AA folks said that the MPE with their mid pipe was not a good choice due to the raspiness. I really like that route to avoid cutting the stock exhaust and to get more sound.
