Car was awesome dynamically. Felt somewhat lacking in low end torque, compared to a JB4 135. It had its first service today which includes a ecu reset.Since then it has come alive. It makes its power further after the rev range, whereas the 135 was over at 5800 rpm. And appears to be geared taller. This takes some adjustment. Whats the eta to seat time in yours ? |

Can some one fill me in on why they do this? Is the CPU detuned for run in purposes? I discovered from my experience that the shipping Companies don't like to muck around with vehicle delivery. Arrive at the port one day, unload and gone the next. From all reports BMW have an inspection station at the port to examine the cars for transport damage. BMW gets them of the port fairly quickly as they have to pay a daily port fee which is expensive. |

Another M2 Dyno Run
The guys at Idn do mild engine tuning.
They took their new M2 to the AMS Performance Dyno to get a base line figure of the M2 prior to tuning it. As we all know BMW states the engine pumps out 500nm at the crank: After many runs the dyno firmly recorded 560nm at the crank which calculates 501nm ATW. As usual BMW under states the power output of their engines. But hey who's complaining http://www.bmwblog.com/2016/04/28/ne...5-whp-370-wtq/ |

So I just found out that my M2 is now an August build, probably November delivery. But let's be realistic, it will be December delivery. Which means it will be a full year I have had to wait for my M2.
Or I could just buy this. What a bargain! http://www.carsales.com.au/private/d...-4017301/?Cr=1

Considered asking for a 2017 build, but that would be an additional 4/5 months wait. Infuriating. |

I test drove a Mustang but there's a 12 month wait and the dealer said if there are any cancelled orders it'd make no difference, Ford Aus would allocate it to the next person in line. Kinda more fair for those who ordered first, but BMW don't seem to be operating that way. Unlike Ford, it seems BMW let the car allocation be dictated by the dealers. The 1M will be up for sale soon. For my intended use, the M2 is slightly better in every way, it'll cost me less, new car, warranty, free servicing. In the end it was an easy decision. |

You're telling me. I am livid at the moment and I had to chase the salesman to get this information. I feel like they're shafting me but I am going to kick up a stink about this.
