A) only you can answer that question

B) yes, you’re wrong

Car is getting picked up today. Sad day but at least it's the start to save up for g87. Crazy enough they are listing the car $500 lower than when I bought it two years ago brand new. Crazy market!

What did they give you for the car?

1. Two different cars. One is a sports coupe while the other is a mid size sedan. Different driving characteristics.
2. I would test drive both to see if that is the case. Some journalists say yes while others say no. Without driving both, you can't form a solid opinion.

Back on topic, if you paid your M2C off and are looking to scratch another itch, I would sell it now for the most money. If not, then I would wait until you either get close to paying it off or you have to have whatever the next car is.

This only works if you dont need to replace the M2, and you can cash in on the market bubble. If you have to scratch another itch, its going to be in bubble pricing too, so its all a wash.

Its like the housing bubble. Sell if you are downsizing and moving to an apartment. But if you have to buy another house, you are moving from one bubble to the next.

M340i and M3 are two totally different vehicles. There is much bigger spread between those two than between the 340 and 330

I was thinking more in line with the G87, where you sell the car now for the most money and save up for the next year and a half until that car comes out. But yes, you're right in that regard, used car pricing or hell even new cars don't seem to have any discounts.

1. There won't be a M3C LCI in 2022. It just came out. I wouldn't expect an "LCI" until 2024, at the earliest.

2. The M3C is as much as "fast 340i" as an M2C is a fast 228i

That's why I put all my M2C proceeds into Dogecoin.

Out of curiosity, I got a soft offer of $54,700 from Vroom. 17,800 miles Black Manual Exec. 2020.
Vroom offered me $62k for my 2021 M2C with just under 5k miles. I paid <$60k for the car with TT&L included in that.

M2C has DCT and S55. It is a faster 2 series but with M character.
Is that M character still present in the new M3C? It has gone with the traditional transmission.

It would be mistake to sell the M2C.
It's a keeper and will only sell it for the next one if it's better, especially if I am getting into a CS.

I am keeping mine forever. And I likely will buy the G87, but probably the LCI version, so that would make it the 2016 model?

1. There will indeed be a M3C LCI in 2022. The G2X platform came out in 2018 as a 19 so it will be refreshed. I mean, look at the F8X, there was a LCI in 2016 and it came out in 2015.
There will be a LCI for the G82 M4 in 2024, so I'm assuming there will be a LCI II for the G80 as well around that time.

2. The M340i has more in common with the G80 M3 than the 228i does with the M2C. For example, the G series cars use the same transmission.

I haven't driven it, but the reviews seem positive. They even say that the steering is better in the G80.

I myself prefer the rawness of the F87 as well as the shorter wheelbase.

My buddy bought his M2 in SoCal area from a dealership at 3k miles for 57k. A year later he sold it back at 20k miles for 57,500. Used market is absolutely bonkers right now. It's a sellers market.

G80 LCI is 7/22 because of the 3 series LCI. It will likely get a second more major LCI when the g82 gets its update 3/24.

I auto crossed m440(g22) and my m2c within 3 days and you can't really compare them, m2 is 100 times more fun. It's probably similar when you compare m340 and m3.

All of you that are thinking of selling m2 try to track it first, you might change your mind. I did auto cross event to learn basics and the car is unbelievably fun.

That's what M Track days are for. I'll beat on the company's cars.

I'm hearing mixed reviews that steering is accurate but numb in the M3C. In my opinion the M2C steering more raw, including the whole experience but the tires are terrible. Has anyone tried different tires and saw good results?
