Has anyone done the recall for instrument panel display software and having trouble coding back with Bimmercode? See attached images. After the update, my ASD is still off however everything else in FEM and ACSM is back to default. Anyone else having the same issue? I emailed to the developer and waiting for his reply.

I had the same issue after my car was updated last week. Stephan says that the next update will resolve this issue. He said 7 days or so.

A few questions for you guys that are updating your ISTEP software and have done some coding:
Do you lose your codes features? Can I just run my latest Bimmercode back up to get the features back? Are settings retained in the Bimmercode backup for coding that was not completed thru Bimmercode, such as Euro MDM? Thanks. |

I coded my friends M135i the other day and at his request I switched off the ASD.
He's just messaged me and said he can't switch his traction control off! Has anyone experienced this issue? I haven't seen it first hand so cant tell exactly what it's doing yet, I'll find out tomorrow. I'll try winding back to the previous back up and try again. Any help would be appreciated |

Did they explain what the recall on instrument panel display was about? Had you had a problem with it?

No, I didn't have any issue. I was doing 1,200 break-in service, and the dealer asked me to update the software. |

Here’s a bit of interesting info for those that have the latest bleeding edge iDrive/iStep version. My car was one of the ones that got briefly held up at the port awaiting for an update and I took delivery just last Wednesday.
Tonight when I tried to code a number of changes, only the ASD and a handful of less useful modules have coding available. Others simply do not have the green dot. When I clicked on those anyway, it returned a message saying that no coding - not even expert coding - is available. Those non-available modules include: Advance Crash Safety (seatbelt warning) FEM Head Unit (legal disclaimer) Instrument Cluster REM I am going to contact BimmerCode but my fear is that it won’t be addresses until next version update. I will post update as I learn more. So glad the ASD is gone though - that’s by far the most important thing! |

There was this guy that moves the cars around while I was talking to SA. He couldn't start my car because I have mine coded rev match out. So, it needs to press and hold to start. I had to tell him how to do it. Then, SA and I were started talking about the coding on my car and letting me know about the recall. He informed me that it's going to reset all the codes and asked me if I have time to leave it with them for 2-3 hrs. He also let me know that my M2 is the first car that will be doing this kind of update with them. When I took my car, I had "Please do not wash this vehicle" signs (found it online) on my front windshield and back because of the ceramic coat. I look kinda stupid taping them when I got there. SA made sure that it didn't wash at the end. I will go back there and look for him to do regular services. I heard good thing about Concord, but I didn't want to drive that far. |

Hi - does anybody know if it's possible to code so that the instrument panel stays illuminated at all times? I could do it in my old E92, but I'm not sure about more recent models.

Sorry i misread your question the first time and deleted my responses by accident lol. You will have to do all of your recoding from scratch. You won't be able to recode or restore your euro mdm setting as it can't be coded in via the app yet. |
