Will be adding a new car next month as daily driver (G21 318d touring).

As addition to the wife's Ford Focus clipper Mark IV and M2C as a weekend car...

M2C is my daily/small track/cross-country warrior.

GT4 is for the more "serious" tracks and the odd summer cruise. And occasional accidental snow day.

How long have you had the GT4? Keeper? I've always wanted to get into one.

I got it in 2016...so this will be my sixth summer with it. If I had a house with a big garage I'd definitely say so, but I'm in a condo and I *may* trade it in for a 992 GT3...I'd probably just keep it if I had more room, but alas, city living...

Overall it's an amazing car, and every time I get in and drive it I'm reminded of that, however I more often find myself reaching for the M2C keys even if it's bright and sunny out, just because it's more practical, has usable cup holders, easier loading things in/out, and when you're driving around Ontario probably equally as fun in most cases (more torque) etc.

...but if I get into the GT4 after driving the M2C it's clear as day how much more advanced it is as machine...the chassis, the build quality, the racecar factor, etc. And the sound...that sound!

I am actually debating whether I should keep my M2C when my GT4 comes in the Fall. My thought was if I was going out to purely for for a drive, I don't know an instance where I would take the M2C over the GT4!

But based on your experience, I guess that is not true…

I bet that thing is quick.

My '16 GTI 6MT was APR Stage 2 w/ intercooler. I sold the downpipe and went back to stock tune in preparation for selling it after I bought the M2C, but I can't bring myself to get rid of it.

Now that I've had the M2 for over a year, I'm glad I kept the GTI. They are fantastic cars and seeing all of the GTI owners in this thread makes me smile.

It's really nice. I like it more and more as time goes on. It distracts me from my M2C which I'm just starting to get a feel for. Yeah I agree it's cool to see the GTI / R pics in here.

Other vehicle is a 2020 Tacoma TRD Sport 6MT. Fun to buy mods for this thing. Parts are like a fifth the cost.

I think it depends on where you live and what kind of drive you're going for. If I lived in Germany or somewhere near twisty mountain roads it would 100% be the GT4 every single time. But I live in Ontario where the roads are straight, the drivers are awful (left lane campers) and the speed limits are low. Most of the time I go for a drive it's also to get groceries or go on a hike or something, as a pure "drive" is not really in the cards around here.

Snapped a pic of them both tonight (took a lot more but haven't got around to them yet).

A few pictures of the two. Thinking about taking advantage of this crazy used market for Tacoma's and picking up a MK6 Golf R. Any ideas?

Is the MK6 R not also inflated in value in this market?

I agree but in this case some ships are sitting much higher than the others and it is not directly proportional for all cars.
