Just added some minor things over the past few weeks, been busy with work and family time so car has been just getting in between time. All good though.
First up is the continuation with the euro spec pieces and these ones are just visually pleasing. I could have taken the time to steam/peel it off but every time I've seen it done, it leaves a residue and this option was easier! Now I just need to source euro black lines and a euro bumper. I think that would complete the euro pieces but if I'm not thinking of one, please let me know. Next up is this BMW Motorsport tow strap. I most likely won't run it but I will if I'm feeling a little spicy. I just like these harder to find OEM parts such as the BMW Motorsport tow strap for the e9x M3. They were so hard to get, I bought two lol. I still have one and I'll store it with this one. I did manage to find time to hang up my latest hoard of Garage Welt boards that have been sitting in storage for a long while. This side of the the garage is coming along well but the other side is quite bare haha. Last edited by ebisu8; 11-29-2021 at 08:52 PM.. |

Power/performance wise, I think the S55 provides plenty for this chassis. I've never been the car enthusiast that's after peak power or dyno results. Since I already had the BMC filters, they worked well enough for me but there was a great deal on this Eventuri kit that I "couldn't" pass up. So I decided to give it a try.
The quality of this kit is really nice, I get why they cost what they do brand new and if I didn't see this deal I would still be with the stock intake. So after removal I wondered what the two options weighed and here are a couple of pics of stock vs Eventuri. I'm not crazy obsessed with saving every possible ounce so this doesn't bother me but I'm sure this makes some cringe, haha. Install was a breeze and everything fits like it should, I added some felt tape to some areas as a "just in case" the intakes gets wild and wants to move around type of thing. I haven't given it a FULL test just yet but it does make some fun sounds and I'll just run it for now. Last edited by ebisu8; 11-29-2021 at 08:56 PM.. |

Question about the tow hook. Is it multi-pieced so that it can swivel when mounted?
I’ve been looking for a pair in stock, and haven’t had much luck. I may end up getting Fall Line or Turner—seems they will ultimately function the same. |

Another update and I am thrilled about this one because it's all about enhancing the driving experience.
Over the weekend, I installed the CAE and UCP, it's an immediate upgrade from the PSD shifter (Nothing wrong with PSD shifter, just personally prefer the CAE) I tried out and the UCP does wonders for the clutch feel, I had both of these items on my e92 M3 and they are indeed a perfect match. I did order the e90 clutch slave to do the CDV delete but I'm not in a huge rush to install. A few pages back I shared a few different seat options and really it came down to availability and well the current mood at the time of purchase. I really do love Recaro and wanted the SPG XLs, however I had to try these Sparco QRT-C seats, light weight carbon fiber estimated at 12.5lbs per seat! These will be a nice addition to the car for sure. I'll post pics of how the BK mounts and OEM sliders pair together during install as well. All in all I'm a happy camper, I did take more pictures over the weekend of the install so I'll come back later to upload pics and add some specifics later on. Just out of curiosity, is this car a daily or purely weekend/track car?

Here are some of the photos I remembered to take while I was installing the UCP, CAE and Seats.
We'll start with the CAE shifter. Let me just say that my PSDesigns shifter was great. There was a clear and definite improvement over stock, I'm glad that I tried it. The CAE system is just night and day improvement even over the PSDesigns shifter. If you are able to spend the extra money and are willing to wait months to get it go for it without hesitation. Here are pics that I took of where the CAE meets the cup holder. Also, FYI I ordered another cup holder that doesn't have the USB plug for a cleaner look. I also was chatting with another CAE/M2 owner in Belgium and he didn't have to trim the passenger cup holder. He told me that he heated up the cup holder and pushed in the area for additional clearance. I will give that a shot and post those pics when done. Passenger cup holder hole is not noticeable to anyone until you put a drink in there. My wife didn't even realize on a recent Starbucks run. Last edited by ebisu8; 11-29-2021 at 09:03 PM.. |

Here's a look at the seats. I'm extremely happy with them and how this all worked out.
Here's a side by side comparison both seats equipped with mounts and sliders. This was wild when I weighed the two seats with mounts and sliders. There was an impressive 30lbs in savings per side for 60lbs total.
Closer look at Brey Krause Mounts w/OEM manual sliders for the ultimate OEM feel and look. Hands down the best solution and my only recommendation for aftermarket seats in our cars. UCP was a breeze to install, I removed the outer spring and put it at the most aggressive setting (closest to the pedal). CAE went in so quickly because the OEM system was already out. The seats were a breeze as well because I already sourced separate OEM sliders that included seat bottoms so I had spare seat hardware to connect the mounts with the sliders. I also finally have my BMW Tools laptop setup with ISTA and E-Sys, I bought one on black friday so I could have a dedicated system for my car. Mainly a Mac user and didn't want to bother with Parallels etc. So got a slick windows machine for pretty cheap. Was able to code out the SRS for the seats with ease. Here's the finished result and I couldn't be more happy. Last edited by ebisu8; 11-29-2021 at 09:09 PM.. |

Liking the setup! A lot!
Any ideas for eliminating rev hang?

I guess where I'm going with that is the shorter shifts are great but that doesn't mean your revs will drop any faster. Even with the stock throw I'm in the next gear before the revs catch up... Really wondering what would fix that!

For me, it's more the slop, feel and height of the stock shifter. Ever since I had it on my e92 M3, I knew I had to have it on my M2C. As for the rev hang, I'm trying to think back the M3. Perhaps, create a thread about it if there isn't one already. Could it be a tuning/mapping thing?

I'm suuuuuuuper stoked to post this update. After getting my Team Schirmer front lip and splitter on last summer, I KNEW I needed to have more. I also knew that I wanted a wing so why not go for GOLD! So I worked with Tom to get my rear wing along with some other goodies.
On my M3, I was able to find a spare trunk up in South Carolina for dirt cheap and in Alpine white but with the M2C, I knew I wasn't going to drill into the stock trunk. Why? Well I figured, just in case I want to put it all back to stock and sell one day. But in my quest to do things my way, I took a chance on an OEM m235ir trunk that I ordered from Cat @IND during the good ol Black Friday sale! Well, to my surprise, I the Team Schirmer GT Wing and the OEM m235ir are a perfect fit. I actually shouted out WOOT when I bolted it all up, . So why this m235ir trunk? It's a beauty actually, it's pre-drilled and welded from the factory! All in all, I'm so stoked this all worked and this car is finally coming along. After hoarding all these parts, it feels good to transform the car in my own. way. I still have a handful of things coming soon as well. Last edited by ebisu8; 11-30-2021 at 06:46 PM.. |

Love this thing, excellent quality and the perfect height. There is more adjustability over the likes of the m235ir wing along with being a little lower in height too which is perfect for me.
Threw in this one because I love the shot! |

I'm close to do these seats myself with the BK mounts and their harnass bar
Where did you get the OEM floor mounts and sliders from? Also, how did you eliminate the Airbag Warnings? Did you use ESYS? Or some PNP option? THX! HAZMAT

I believe I sit almost exactly the same as my previous seating position, the OEM seat was adjusted differently when I pulled them out to easily store them. The Sparco's didn't end up in that seat position upon install, in fact I may adjust them a little more soon.
