Yes, as soon as I get the car back. Plans

Headlights
Auto fold mirrors
Various initial warnings
Easy exit and entry with seat
Rear fog activation with switch
Unsure if idrive6 can auto turn on seat heat withe respect to outside temp.

I'm leaving default drive mode alone in case my wife needs to jump in the car, but no problem with M1/M2 buttons.

Anyone have anything that the feel is "must code"? I need to dig up a cheat sheet.

https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/s...tached.788895/

Links to a couple of cheat sheets for F-22 and F30, which will be helpful for those using esys. Bimmercode has specific cheat sheets.

Need to get it remembering the heated seat settings, auto unlock all doors on parking.

I'm also having issues with my phone not showing up for text messages but that's a different issue from coding

I've been lazy and just haven't hooked up bimmercode with the dongle yet. I used to have a full esys setup too

In all honesty I think bimmercode is likely better for the F8x. I'm not seeing the need for esys to do most things. The G05 is different.

I think the radio not turning off when the door is opened and the mirrors not folding when locked are my biggest annoyance. I plan to code tomorrow.

I wish we could simply code for keyless entry as well

What dongle do you use? I have a Kiwi bluetooth OBD dongle and an MHD branded wi-fi OBD dongle. Will either of those support bimmercode on iOS, or is a specific dongle needed? I have no idea whether the MHD branded dongle is locked to their product or if it only allows access to the DME.

Just got the car back from window tinting, ceramic coating, full PPF. Time to get the odometer in to the triple digits now! lol

The Titan7 T-S5 wheels have been put on as well with the painted reflectors. Haha, was driving around with a bunch of blue painter's tape covering the holes the side grilles and reflectors were originally at until they were able to get me in for the PPF appt. Got those M Performance subtle carbon bits are real nice and definitely should've come with the vehicle. I like the painted bar look as well! Now for some coding and the patience for a new exhaust.

What computer and subitem did you use to get the mirrors to fold automatically with locking and unlocking? I used the following, but no luck. It may need to cycle the battery after driving.

FEM_BODY 3110 ASP_AUSKLAPPEN_NACH_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN aktiv nicht_aktiv Unfold Mirrors on vehicle unlock via Key Fob or Comfort Access.

FEM_BODY 3110 ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_BEI_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN aktiv nicht_aktiv Fold Mirrors when holding lock on Key Fob or Comfort Access.

I tested the seat comfort access, but didn't like it. Be Careful to test the rear leg room if doing this!

Update: this was correct, but I needed to reduce the delay time when pressing the lock button. Works fine now.

Just did this. Changed parking brake handle to gloss carbon fiber like the rest of interior. Took less than 5 minutes.

I'm considering the Akrapovic exhaust with the link pipe set. I'm not really wanting to cut the stock exhaust, which is the main reason for wanting to do the link pipes. Maybe I'll do it in a year. Don't want to do all mods right from the start and lose interest in the car too quickly.

E-Brake Handle

Step 1:
Pull the E-brake handle off the mechanism, this will take some force.

Step 2:
Squeeze the upper part of the alcantara boot to release the e-brake boot from the console. As you squeeze pull up on the boot to remove it.

Step 3:
Pull the entire E-brake boot and handle off the mechanism.

Step 4:
Fold the boot inside out to expose the cable tie securing the stock handbrake handle. Cut the cable tie carefully not to damage the boot.

Step 5:
Install the boot onto the new E-brake handle in the reverse as you took it off. (Inside out and secure the boot with the supplied cable tie, cut the excess off)

Step 6:
Slide the brake handle onto the E-brake mechanism to where it clicks into place.

Step 7:
Reinstall the alcantara boot back into the center console by snapping it into place

Can anyone confirm we are able to reprogram the rev match (e.g., disable it in MDM mode)? Got my bimmercode ready to go .. all I need is the M2CS

My car is going back into the detail shop to cover the rest of the car in PPF. Partial PPF + ceramic ---> Full PPF + ceramic.

If others are debating what to do, then you may find my delivery thread useful. I've documented my thought process along the way.

I'm doing the Akra-Evo for sure. It'll be interesting to see how long I can hold out before doing it. Heard one in person on M2C and loved it.
