I assume it has adaptive dampers.. why else would they include two M buttons? There's only one setting to change otherwise (engine, which brings steering with it at least in current model). It'd be complete overkill and not much of a shortcut at all unless you also had to change EDC.

You can order the M3/M4 without the adaptive dampers and you will still have both buttons....

Plus the ridiculous levels of fanboi evangelism of the M2 Competition zealots, for a car no one has seen or driven.

How about if we all decide it’s OK to like what we want to like?

What I find funny is that they pretty much fix just about all of the "shortcomings" of the original M2 and yet still people whine about silly stuff. You legit just can't please all the people. It's almost comical how many things bmw "fixed" with this version.

For me personally, I'm pleased with what I have

Oh, I get it...

If you like it then you don't currently own a M2.

If you're not impressed then you do.

Fairly predictable reaction and par for the course 'round these parts

The wheels ... uhm, I was expecting something more sporty like the MPerf wheels installed on the M2 back Shadow. I'm disappointed.
The problem is that... the previous rendered M2 looked much much better as the "official" car.

I don't like the front gills. Just way too big for the car. It's a good thing with the s55 engine. But if this thing will sound like a rattled canister, 0.1 sec difference (not interested in changing engine behavior) and no adaptive suspension, I'll just get the seats and mirrors later.

Actually overwhelmingly it seems to be a "got some stuff right got some stuff wrong" kind of thing from the community. A couple will trade in and most seem to think it's not worth it. Seems reasonable to me. But don't act like that grille isn't polarizing.

Those melted together grills are hideous.

Not really butthurt but can't deny being slightly annoyed at BMW addressing only now with the CP a lot of optionals that belong as standard on an M car

There was an M4 in the family that was offered to me at a good price. I bailed on it primarily because the exhaust sound of the S55 is atrocious. No aftermarket exhaust makes it much better. Same deal breaker for the M2 CS.

Also, if you consider the sheer amount of times I lost traction with the N55, I really doubt the S55 will do better if not worse with more HP. In my honest opinion I think that purely from an 'power' standpoint, it won't enhance the experience much more than its predecessors. Possibly on the high end but you so rarely get there on a consistent basis that it doesn't really matter if not on track.

1. If this is the new HS color, not bad.
2. The 0-100kph is probably conservative.
3. "Weight optimised Bi-Turbo for maximum power build up." I am wondering if this means that the engine is an actual hardware change to make it lighter from the M3/4 and not just a software tune like many were hoping for.
4. Wheels are horrendous.

“Weight-optimized Bi-Turbo for maximum power build up.”

Fancy way of saying they’ve reduced the output potential of the s55.

I really like the front end. The grills - I'm not sure how I feel. I'm sure they would grow on me.

But, I'm not trading up so what I think isn't too important 😅

As far as I can see, those are the seats coming from the F8X?!
I wonder what leather they will come with in the M2

Blasphemy?

Is this going to be the first M with a one-piece grill? If so, that certainly contradicts one of BMW’s alltime design rules:

“BMW design is timeless and distinct, with classic details like the twin kidney grilles and four headlights connecting BMWs across generations.”

Do we now have to start speaking of BMW’s “conjoined kidney grille?”
