mine went from "entering the assembly line" all the way through "quality check" in one day. the next day it was already "awaiting carrier assignment".

things move really quickly once you get in the assembly line.
Same here- today mine went all the way through paint and assembly and to quality check in 1 day. It was at production begins yesterday

"Underway using engine" vs "Moored"
The P. Leader is literally taking the lead over the Tulane. Saw the tugs are backing it out... see on Monday/over the weekend which of the two vessels my M2C is on

I have noticed from other user reported timelines that it will typically sit in prod for ~2-3 weeks then leap through all of the 'next steps' in one day. Seems like the car is scanned entering prod and exiting prod with all in-between steps getting updated before QA.

Congrats!

Not sure if anyone is on the Graceful Leader, but it's blocking my ship, Green Bay from unloading! My ship arrived early and is just doing loops off the coast waiting for it to leave lol.

Mine has finally started to move to “assembly”, definitely jumped a few steps today. Was nice to see!

CC, I did the same guessing game based on vessels I saw in port. Researched each one, their routes and schedules, and started to plan delivery even. Then I called BMW Genius a couple of days after they departed (and my status bar showed "in Transit"). Lo and behold, my car was never put on either of those first two ships bound for Baltimore, but was held for a third ship I didn't even notice - the Hoegh Trotter. So, good luck!

Right now, the HT is moving towards Baltimore, expected to arrive Sunday evening in port. That means, maybe NEXT Sunday evening I'll be driving her home. Yeah!

My 6/9 build has been stuck on "quality checks" for two days now. I thought once they're on the assembly line the cars are off to the port within 3-4 days?

rd, my 4/29 build was stuck in QC for three weeks before it moved to next step. Best I could determine, BMW is facing increasing delays in production, mostly related to supply chain issues, and QC is sometimes used as holding while waiting for something specific to arrive. Hope that's not the case with yours, but just so you know.

Ya you East Coast guys are lucky, with way more options than we get on the West Coast. Funnily enough the first WW vessel out will be slower than the NYK due to more stops.

Obviously my OCD is getting a tad OCDier - but once the vessel is known then I can just chill*

*Well my version of chilling, which really isn't that chill ;-)

Another German workday day and my build is still stuck in QC so it's looking like you're correct. Mine is just HS + blue stitching + exec + 6 speed so I'm not sure what part is holding up my build that wouldn't hold up other people's builds from the same week.

I’ve got the exact same build as you and I’m stuck in QC as well.

I'm that without the Exec pack and after my extra week in the queue doing nothing, I zipped through in 1.5 days... IIRC from the M3/M4 forum, wireless charging isn't available for them right now, so I wonder if it's trouble sourcing components for that?

Total guess of course on my part, but be a shame to get delayed over something as pointless as that.

Edit: I did IIRC https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...light=wireless

You're helpful as always. Thanks for the heads up on why my build might be delayed.
I have an iPhone 12 Max so I wasn't even going to use the wireless charging as my phone doesn't fit…

My SA informed me a few days ago that BMW corporate sent a communication to advise dealers on parts shortages impacting both HK sound and wireless charging. These items have been mentioned in various other car model threads here. The way my SA messaged things noted that the parts issue was not model specific.

As it turned out, my M240 was built this week with the HK sound ordered. I didn't order the wireless charging. Our cars are obviously not the same but it does seem that the wireless charger is the holdup as I also ordered the adaptive lights which are identical to the ones in the exec package for the m2. So, if exec package is the holdup, it's not due to the lights.

My car went straight through build, quality check, and final assembly without issue and I'm now awaiting carrier transport to the port.

I hope you don't have an extended wait. If it's any consolation, the next west coast bound boat out isn't scheduled until June 18. So, if your missing part(s) arrive in the next few days it won't impact your delivery timing.
