My dealer sent me all the same info last night. Unfortunately my dealer charges like 3k for freight and PDI. Then we'll have wheel/tire insurance for $1500, metallic paint 895, alcantara steering wheel 600. Where I live, we have 12% tax on top of all that too (pretty standard here except AB). IF I spec one, it would be manual, black, gold wheels, alcantara steering wheel. |

Heat dissipation issue aside, they will have to lower the compression ratio (11.0:1) of the B58 to increase boost + bigger turbo to meet the power goal. Max rpm will still be at 7000 rpm The S58 with a larger bore and shorter stroke than the B58 can only manage a 7200 rpm. |

i) what exhaust comes with the car (if not MPE, is it available?) Redesigned Dual-Branch Exhaust System unique to M2 CS. ii) does the exhaust for the Canadian model contain the particulate filters that are mandatory in Europe? Don’t have these details yet iiii) what is the CAD MSRP on the CS? $97750 For those that want to know the math - At current FX rates, this is USD $74,806 - about a 10.5% savings from buying in the US and I would guess the relative "cheapest" this car can be found anywhere?? iv) do you know how many of these cars will be delivered to Canada? 200-300 Canada wide. 2200 world wide. v) is it possible to do a European delivery on this car? Yes you can do a European delivery vi) are you able to confirm that the next generation of M2 ( G87?) will be produced in Mexico alongside the regular G-series 2xx models? M product will never be manufactured in Mexico. (- not sure I believe this one) vii) is there any chance to get a colour other than what the 4 that are offered, and if so, what would that cost? Only the 4 colors available. NOTE: Info below is for the CANADIAN model: I can also confirm that the following options (from M2C) have been removed on the CS: 2QT 788M wheels 248 Heated Steering Wheel 322 Comfort Access - this one annoys me..how much can this possibly weigh? 465 Through Loading System 488 Lumbar support These are the confirmed added standard options over the M2C: +39hp - CS "Tune" M2CS specific Exterior CF (splitter, hood, roof, rear diff, lip spoiler, mirror caps) M2CS specific interior (merino/alcantara seats w/red stitching, CF centre console) 1TN 763M Black wheels 2VF Adaptive M Suspension 40C Carbon Roof 4WU CS trim 674 Harmon Kardon Sound System 7ME M driver's package 8TH Speed Limit Info |

Thanks for the info. Don’t you have a deposit for one? That is disappointing that there is no comfort access.I wouldn’t like not having that feature. Hopefully your guy is correct about the G87 still being made in Germany. |

With the cost of tires in Canada compared to the US, it takes 2 tires generally to pay for itself. A set of Cup 2s here is like 2k plus mounting and balancing, so at least for 4 years we're covered from pretty much anything. My wife has been through 7 tires on her X4, all covered. |

Yes, I'm a bit confused by the pricing. However, I guess it's no different than what folks in Europe experience.
I just checked the M2c US vs CAN price, and it appears to be similar difference. |

We see an M car as something special, to BMW AG, it's just another commodity and if they can save a buck producing it, they most certainly will. There is no "heritage", it's all moving units and protecting their bottom line, regardless of what the marketing material otherwise colorfully states. Don't get me wrong, there is not immoral for a company to move its production to a place where it will create higher profits - it is actually logical to do so. Doesn't mean we have to like it. Below is a G20 shell, BMW's bread-and-butter model, at the plant in Mexico. That should be an omen: |

I have had my deposit down since the speculation on this model came out over a year ago and this is why he called me today. I have been asked to head into the dealership this week to spec out my CS allocation. Problem is, while waiting on this car I was able to secure a 718 GT4 allocation; also have a deposit and spec sheet in with local Porsche dealer, so looks like I have a decision to make as I wan't sure I would get either allocation, never mind a shot at both.
Agreed. |

No comfort access kinda stinks, but its likely done for security on a low production car. I still drive a vehicle that requires me to unlock with a fob. No big deal. Still have to put the key in the ignition switch too, but I manage, and don't feel overly miffed by it.

The X3M base with a S58 starts at $70,000, there is no way the G87 is going to have a S58 and still hover around 60k. BMW didn't have any predilections when they put the N55 in the original M2, even though it wasn't an "S" engine, so a high-output B58 will more than likely follow suit. Not that there is anything wrong with that motor; the B58TU is a monster in the M340i, I mean like really fast. If you want an "S" engine, you're going to have to step your game up and shoot for a G82 M4. |

Next to nothing. In the E90 3-series section of the forum, there is a thread on installing CA into a non-CA car. You're just looking at bit of wiring and the module (and door handle replacement but those weight the same), so at most 1 or 1.5 lbs? It's ridiculous they eliminate CA on the M3/M4/M2 CS.

Keep in mind, only aftermarket retrofit options are available, none "factory" and you absolutely have to leave one of the key fobs buried inside the vehicle. |

Why would that matter? The G87 M2 need only be a better performer than the F87 M2. The G87 Comp will need to outperform the F87 Comp..

Why would BMW remove the lane departure and collision / pedestrian safety feature?
Also, I'm confused with the previous post. It says there is no pass through in the rear seats and backseats don't fold down anymore? I thought people who were at the Belgium preview said it did fold down? Overall, seems a little compromised on all the good stuff in terms of comfort. Really disappointed with this and really making me rethink the M2C...why can't we have all the Comp features plus the CS?! (Don't give me the weight saving argument, as we all know it's not an outright track car)
