I don't think it will be that long. I think a CSL will show up in this run. The current M2 is not that amazing. I believe a large part of that is to keep M3/4 sales stable. Why not throw an S55 under the hood? God knows the space is there.

No, I agree with you to an extent, but I don't think it was held back quite like the Cayman was. Additionally, everyone is so worked up about it being "held back", but I believe the point of this car was not for it to surpass the M3/M4, but for it to be a drivers car with limited options or your "entry level M car". Do you think an M2 will ever surpass the M3/M4? I personally don't.
I didn't mean to offend you if I did, I was just joking a little because I feel as if everyone is getting worked up about the M2, but if you followed the rumors, it was evident that this is what we were going to get. |

They are not the production black finish wheels are they? Don't seem to show the machined two tone. It's either all black or there is a lot of brake dust covering the silver bits?? They look horrible if that's what they look like dirty

That's brake dust. My M4 wheels look the same after a track session. It isn't too hard to clean them . Most black wheels on sports cars look similar with lots of uncleaned brake dust.

Granted, I'm a blue guy but, Alpine White, Mineral White, Glacier Dilver as well as the Gray: They all look boring. That's to me. Now if you put a lot if stripes, maybe the M racing stripes you might have something. My MINI Roadster is Pepper White with Chili Red Viper stripes. It's not bad, but I still prefer s real color. Around where I live, almost every BMW is Alpine a White, Minersl Shite or gray or silver. Can't believe this dealer ACTUALLY got in for sale a Valencia Orange 228i. Really look rather good in person.

Those rear reflector are probably where the rear fog lights go in Europe where they are manditory, and in BMWNA decided that we couldn't even order them. So much to safety consciousness.

I really don't understand the expectations some of you have. This is the entry level M model geared to be the most simple and fundamental M car. The whole point is to be lesser in $$$ than the others-----if you were expecting a 500hp N/A V8 with carbon fiber lightweight 2500 lb race spec characteristics you were looking in the wrong place. As an owner of a 1M----BMW got the 1M very very very right and I'm sure the M2 is probably a more enjoyable and rewarding drive than its bloated big brothers as well. We shall await further testing and observation for that confirmation |
