At least it's mid-engined. otherwise skeptical.
It deviates so much from the old concept. but cars are in a much different place now and driver engagement is not paramount. At least it might actually be fast and keep up with the competition. All out speed was literally the only thing the original NSX didn't excel in. Otherwise it was a masterpiece. |

Did it get in a Nurburgring lap time before those were suspended? I haven't looked it up

The NSX is officially going to be the "pace car" for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb...but I'm not exactly sure how that will work...kind of doesn't make sense.

This is the sportscar drivetrain of the future, at least the near future. This brings it out of the porsche hypercar arena and down to earth a bit more...but still out of reach for most people. Still, the ability to recapture brake energy and use it to launch out of the corner with all wheels turning under power is huge, even if that's the only "hybrid" bit.

You seem to love simple, direct and pure cars, pretty much the opposite of the new NSX. The first was awesome when it came out, but Honda let it get stale and the competition totally eclipsed it and the strong yen removed its value. |

Actually it does look pretty good here. Only gripe is that a lot of mid engine cars are starting to take the same shape; R8, mclaren, this. I liked the unique profile of the original NSX because it was unique. It does look a lot better than the color for the reveal car.
End rant. Let's get this thing on the road and get some driving reviews. |

It looks good, but, at the same time I feel like it doesn't stand out. Looks very akin to the R8 and Mclaren. Seems not many of the mid-enginged cars stand out. Cayman S/GTS/GT4 have a bit different shape and are gorgeous. This car certainly looks great but at the same time the front I'm not as fond of.

Wish I was more excited for it. The video didn't help any. But if I'm shopping Japanese performance cars I'm looking for a bargain, meaning you pay 911S money for gt3 rs performance. And if that's the case I'm all for it

I doubt this thing will sell well at over $150k.
Too much competition - R8, Ftype, 911, MB GT-S, baby McLaren, Aston Martin Vantage, etc. Honda needs to price it at most around $100k to undercut those cars with much higher brand appeal. Also turbo V6 is not very exotic even if its midengined. Electric motors will prob be hampered at the track after a few laps. |

I actually wish they would just release an entry level NSX without the electric motors or AWD.
I'm sure it would be much lighter, less expensive, and cheaper to maintain in the long run. Price it around $85k with better performance than 911/GTR and you got yourself a winner! |
