M2 Base is $67K CAD, not even including (taxes/freight/PDI, etc.)
I don't think it is unreasonable to add another $10K premium to S55 M2 - So, ~$77K CAD |

Please see below: If you/your SA were to say ~$70k CAD base, + $10k options/freight/PDI/fees + 13% Tax = ~$90k, then you'd probably be onto something. |

Canada- M2 - $64.4k M3 - $77.5k M4 - $78.3k US M2 - $54.5k M3 - $66.5k M4 - $68.7k My guess for a no option M2 Comp, with a 10% increase... ~71k CAD and ~$60k US. I do not see a reasoning for more of an increase for a detuned S55 and cosmestic upgrades. Everything else new is optional. The fully loaded price will definitely go up a considerable amount, because of all the new options(light weight wheels, seats, perforated leather, brakes, etc.). So fully loaded $90k CAD with tax, title, license, doc fees...isn’t out of the question. |

I thought most were hoping for a sub-60K base price? Or did I miss some new or additional info?

Gotcha - that's been my guess on the US side - $59,999.

Not sure where you are getting these numbers. Build & Price on BMW Canada for an M2, complete the build - not just look at the main page starting price.
MSRP: $65,200 Options: $0 Total Selling Price: $68,712 We can debate till the cows come home what the price for M2 Comp will be - I am stating what I know. Using current N55 M2 prices locally, I do not see even the most basic M2 comp going out the door for less than ~80K CAD, as the most basic N55 M2 locally is going for ~70K. |

Not disagreeing with you on the $80k basic out the door. For example, $70k MSRP + ~$2k Freight/PDI + 13% tax = ~$81.3K CAD. Add in some options, etc. and you're close to 90 which to me also seems realistic. |

That makes sense, how many of those 1000 parts are related to the engine swap, cooling changes, exhaust, downpipes, new bumpers, ducting changes, every fastener, nut and bolt. All the new options also have all their separate parts that go with them. For instance the seats would have new rails, M emblem, hardware, electronics, seat heaters, bolts...and on and on. 1000 new parts makes sense. There is the rumored lowered ride height as well, that is supposedly standard. I still believe something around $60k US msrp(10% increase) is a good educated guess, considering the bulk of new big ticket items will be optional.

You think the M2 Comp is getting top mount intercooler, with the spy pics showing no hood bulge? That would be a significant cost savings. Switching from air to water top mount, to air to air front mount intercooler. Lower boost might make the M4 cooling setup not necessary. Although not good for people wanting to tune, as the air to water is a lot more efficient at extracting heat. |

On the issue of price, I think we should be thinking in terms of % increase/decrease vs current levels and equipment. Every market has a different price so it’s silly to set a poll based on $. I know what the rough pricing is going to be on some markets and some will not like it. 😛

Like many others on the forum with info, I can’t really say anything without losing this privilege in the future if I do. All I can say is that many will be surprise. And all I’ll say is that competition is hot in this segment in many markets.
