i find it weird the way they price the DCT option.
on a z4 its like a $500 option over a manual and i'm pretty sure the exact same transmission. then again it doesn't have all that drive logic programming, but well heres to hoping its closer to $500 than $3000 |

When I got my 335is, it was a no cost option since they had an option credit automatically applied for it. Not sure if the hardware is identical but it sure was fast. The drive logic should make a difference since the one in my car was not very smart.

BMW Canada is close to release details for the M2. The M2 is now part of the model line-up on www.bmw.ca.
What about BMW USA? |

We won't see official pricing until during/after the reveal in Detroit, right?
that would be my guess...

If the 3 M2s per dealer per year speculated estimates are true, I see no reason for BMW to price these cars in any reasonable range. Either you'll wait for one at any price or buy a 240i or M3 because you can't wait 6 to 12 months. The M2 will not cannibalize sales of any other model for this very reason. There aren't enough to pull people away from other models with any significant impact.

I bet the US pricing for a loaded M2 will be low $50k.

Based on the Canadian pricing, I bet your original post is, in fact, correct (or damn close).

He's been wrong before. He doesn't work for BMW NA, who will set the price here. I wouldn't put much weight into his statement.

Whether Scott26 is right or wrong, I just can't see the US pricing being closer than $8-$10,000 in the spread with Canada. Our dollar is pennies on the US dollar and Canadian cars are always notably more. $61,000 is the confirmed price for a loaded car in Canada. I suppose the US might be $52,000 or $53,000 for a loaded M2 but how could it be higher given the Canadian price?

I'm sorry but I have never said that. Primarily because I am not familiar with the US market dictate their pricing structures so I cannot confirm or deny if that is the case.

Appoligies, I'm quoting another member's statement on your behalf.
