Picked up a V2 MPerf steering wheel and a pre-LCI stitched knee pad for incredibly cheap this morning. I thought I was going to have to reupholster the wheel, but I spent a couple hours cleaning it up and was extremely pleased with the results (only used Pears soap for the entire job!).
And the stitched knee pad adds a nice little detail that’s otherwise absent on the LCI/Comp cars.

I might have to look into this lip - like how subtle it is compared to the CS and M Performance. I really don’t like the winglets of those lips.

I don't like the winglets either (just because in photos they show up as big black blobs), so I was always looking for something smaller and more elegant. The lightweight lip is too small, and the Perl just hit it perfectly IMO. Unfortunately, I'm very low, 587/592, so even though it doesn't hang down very far, it's too far for how low I am when I go to The Dragon, so it has to go.

Perl is a German company, and doesn't ship to the US, so you'll need to go through a 3rd party like I did. Expect to pay $1000 for it, unless you buy mine, which is no longer flawless, but 98%.

Yeah, I agree, but I think it’s just a symbolic indication of how difficult they’ll be to clean

Plugged an almost brand new tire after picking up a self tapping sheet metal screw. Car got us to Rockville, a big music fest at Daytona International Speedway (which I’m too old for, but f it). I’ll have it fixed right in a week or so.
