Always wondered how they recruited the dummies. So, the answer is "Jersey is full of 'em!"

Sorry butthurt statistics guy. Is just for the lulz.

Cool post, well thought out!

I was pretty sure I've READ in the recent past Texans were among the highest in vehicular related deaths - on average. So I did a little more READING and it seems like you guys are out of control.

Texas
Vehicular fatalities per 100k of population 13.12 vs the national average of 10.25

New Jersey
Vehicular fatalities per 100k of population 6.22 vs the national average of 10.25

Thanks for Bush though, he was great!!
Wow! So much burn in one post! Well done!

As for the M2, it's just a car. Fix it or crush it! They will make another one.

I've lived in both Texas and New Jersey (sigh), and anecdotally New Jersey drivers are far more aggressive and assholey.

With that said, in Texas people just drove so damn fast because of the higher speed limits that accidents were inevitable.

Regardless, we don't know if the car was hit while parked either-not fair to judge, nor does it make sense to speculate. It is a darn shame...

It always seemed to be the rain in Texas that resulted in a truckload of accidents. The roads would get real slippery and drivers didn't adjust for the conditions as much as they should (SoCal isn't much better).

Up in the Northern states everyone's more used to the rain so drivers seem to cope better.

Why thank you. I actually did put a lot thought into it I'm in appreciate when it's recognized .

But for the record some of us Texans (best state in the Union for what it's worth) used to live in other states. I lived in NY for 30 years. Worked in Newark for a bit and drove the Garden state parkway on a daily basis for 3 years. I know all about Jersey, their troopers, their drivers and their accidents. They don't have the highest car insurance rates in the nation for no reason.

Like I said before Jersey..... Go fig.

So true, add any bad weather in Texas and no none seems to know how to drive in it. That's why on bad weather days, i work from home to avoid the madness on the roads.

As for speed, one of the tolls around Austin is 85, yeehaw!

Or maybe it had the classic M4 problem.
Tire pressures 1.5 PSI too low after leaving C&C.
I am surprised it took 2 pages for someone to mention this.

This is a factory rep vehicle used for press opportunities, track comparisons, etc. Hence the NJ plates where the North America headquarters are located in Woodcliff Lake.

Sounds like a first time M car owner problem, since now that BMW makes a relatively affordable one with the M2, Honda owners aren't accustomed to the TURBO KICKED IN YO, so things like this happen.

I know, troll alert. Was just kidding, fanboys.

GTFO. While I am rolling with Xiaoxi in his Miata with all the ladies, you can speed ahead with your mobile sausage fest of an M3/4!

They do. Typically, they ship them back to Germany and BMW has a "crash course" (no pun intended) where they take the press cars and crash them on purpose. I was talking about it with one of the Product Reps who brought an M2 to a dealership here in DC. However, most of the M2's aren't pre-production cars like most other press cars, so he wasn't 100% on whether or not the M2s would get crushed.
