ARC 8 19"
9.5 WIDTH 33 OFFSET 9 WIDTH 28 OFFSET Do both of these setup require spacers for the front? I have 2018 LCI. Is there any ARC 8 setup that requires no front spacers? Thank you |

19x9" ET28 requires 3mm spacers to clear the brake caliper. 19x9.5" ET33 requires 5mm spacers to clear the suspension and brake caliper (applicable to stock suspension and lowering springs, certain aftermarket coilovers may require larger spacers). The 19x8.5" ET35 hasn't been tested, and may offer better brake clearance due to the non-concave face, but would be a compromise in width (narrower than stock) and not really recommended for anything other than a winter setup. Hope this helps! --Dylan

Just ordered EC-7s 18x9.5 ET35 for a square setup w 265mm tires. Will 10mm (or even 12mm) spacers work on all four corner w H&R lowering springs without rubbing?
Pre-LCI M2, so fenders are not rolled. Not running camber plates. Thanks in advance! |

Apologies for the delayed response! I assume that you've solved the problem at this point so I would be curious what solution you went with to run this setup! Thanks -Tom

I suspect I'm going to take advantage of the BF deals once I answer this.
I've got a 2019 M2C and will be getting the Radi-CAL 9668 (fitment template) and Radi-CAL CP9451 kits installed next week. I was wanting to keep with a staggered setup (295 at the rear is nice) and don't want to run with any spacers. Currently alignment is around -3.5 up front and -2.3 in back. I've also got MPSS installed and I currently run a set of 19" Titan-7 T-S5 wheels on track with 265/30 and 295/30 tires with no issues. jritt@essex also mentioned previously that these fit the CP9668 without any spacers: Apex EC7 18x9.5+22 and Apex EC7 18x10+33 With all that said and looking at the fitment guide for the M2 I think the best option for me is 18x9.5" ET28 and 18x10.5" ET40 Sadly it looks like there aren't any satin blacks available in either the EC-7R or ARC-8R so the Anthracite finish is probably the way to go. Does all that make sense or have I overlooked something (and I may be overthinking all this with the info dump above)? Plus if APEX has a shop open Black Friday or Mon 30th I could pop in to check fitments (although I won't have the new BBK yet, rather a set of much larger Brembos). Is it also possible to refinish the wheels (like one of the examples above) to say change an Anthracite over to a Satin Black? Last edited by dmf; 11-26-2020 at 02:02 PM.. |

Fitment wise, you should be in good shape with our forged wheels in terms of brake clearance as AP has already confirmed. I would be more concerned about the M Performance coilovers, particularly up front. They are going to significantly reduce inner clearance and will require a 5mm spacer if you go with the 18x9.5 ET28. The 18x9.5 ET22 will clear that suspension without spacers. With the amount of negative camber you have in the front, either of these setups should clear your fenders with 265/35-18 tires. The rear wheels should be a direct fit. If you failed to place an order during the sale period because of our delayed response, please send us a DM and we can create a manual order that matches BF pricing. -Tom

Sorry about that, the tire sizes weren't originally listed with the pictures. I just checked and the car in the photos is running the following:
Front: 275/35-18 Michelin PS4S Rear: 295/35-18 Michelin PS4S -Ian

@Expert@ApexRaceParts
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on wheels, but not sure this setup will fit **WITHOUT RUBBING**-- The car: 2020 M2C w/ Carbahn flash. Call it ~550hp/565tq. WOT in 1-2-3 essentially guarantees repeated DSC events. I want to mitigate this. Wheels: Apex EC-7 (F:19x9.5 ET28 & R:19x10.5 ET45). Wheels are 0.5" wider than stock w/ "M2C-specific offsets". Stock offsets are ET29 and ET40. Tires: Michelin MP4S 265/30/19 & 295/30/19. Stock tires are Michelin PSS 245/35/19 & 265/30/19. Suspension: TC Kline Single-Adjustable Front, Double-Adjustable rear coilover suspension w/ 300/600 VVS springs & TC Kline camber plates set for Street. The springs on this setup are *not* conical like the MPS or Litchfield so the springs/struts should be very similar dimensionally to stock. Suspension drop: Planned to be no more than 1/2 - 3/4". I do not want to use spacers (required w/ Apex wheels and MPS suspension due to the conical spring), nor excessive negative camber where the wheel is obviously tilted, and am attempting to get better low-speed street compliance, a minor aesthetic drop, and better traction to prevent DSC intervention. With no rubbing. My thoughts on the larger rubber are for better traction, but maybe I'm heading in the wrong direction? Another possibility is 255/35/19 & 275/35/19 on Apex wheels w/ TCK suspension. (Not much wider than stock, slightly taller-- but tire height may be mitigated by 0.5" wider rims? Unknown. Not sure of any traction improvement?) Suggestions? The takeaway is NO rubbing, better traction, and more compliant low-speed ride. The suspension takes care of the ride, but I'm hesitant about the 30-series rubber. THANKS. |

Apex 19" EC-7 8.5J, 235 square Conti TS860S winterset.
There was some snowfall overhere this morning and tomorrow a bit more (expected) I like to drive in snowy conditions with a good winterset and a good rwd/lsd car. I really do. Cheers Robin |

It's important to keep in mind that the shape of the springs is only one of the factors that can play into limited clearance from coilovers with BMWs. The conical springs of the M Performance/KW kits for this chassis reduce clearance, but other coilovers with linear springs can reduce clearance as well. Linear springs are certainly preferred for wheel clearance over conical, but a coilover kit having linear springs does not guarantee that it will have excellent clearance full stop. Spring perch design and other factors come into play as well. In general, the TC Kline setups that we've seen on our cars and customer cars have good inner clearance up front (not quite as good as MCS/JRZ, but better than conical spring kits like some KWs or the M Performance coils). We have not tested this setup on an M2C with TC Kline suspension though so you may find that you need a small 3-5mm spacer up front once you get everything installed. Hopefully, this is not the case and it's a direct fit but we like to prepare you just in case. I hope this was helpful, -Tom
