I gotta wait yet for another revised one... Really curious how the OTC stage 2 93Oct map is working for you guys. I hate to think it's the Euro Spec being different from the US spec... but who knows... or else PTF would have picked this up and fixed it before releasing the OTC map. I didn't receive a new map from them yet because I'm traveling and have not data logged the issue. I'll try when I can. Most certainly PTF is working on the 2nd revision for you at this point.

I got a revised map, need to datalog and check a few things. It's better than the first one, that I can say.

I'm sorry for knowing that your problem persists and I share the same frustration. I confirm it is EXACTLY the same noises (BOM!!!) at 5k rpm that I've been experiencing and they should be much more aggressive in real world. I'm 100% positive we're sharing the same issue and this isn't an isolated case. I will be flashing back to stock as soon as I get back home, and wait until this is fixed. The N55 OTS Stage two map for F87 DCT application needs a serious looking at. proTUNING Freaks

The noises (BOM!!!) you mention are just throttle activity and not harmful in any way at all. Initial maps were set more towards all out racing at WOT where instant response out of the turbo and minimal lag are key. We've no created a more linear configuration as well. |

In both Sport and Sport+ modes the power output is more linear now and just left with minor issue in Comfort mode. After that (which I hope is the final revision) I'll do some more driving and datalogging until intakes arrives and I'll put the car onto the dyno to see the actual power output and also to look through the datalog carefully as I want the tune to not only provide increase in power, but to be as stable as possible and doesn't harm the engine in any way. I still like the BM3 platform, but I guess it's because it's relatively new and M2 is pretty new, they just need some time to smooth things out. |

Is my assumption right that a linear throttle map that you worked out would only smooth out power delivery on partial throttle, but does not change the 100% fully open throttle under WOT that eliminates the hesitation found on many of your competitions - either flash tune or piggyback. As I already confirmed, the car has been pulling brilliantly under WOT.

So what's the general consensus at this point with B3. I went with the dinan stg 4 setup and well not happy with the power increase. Is there a good e85 map out yet?

Is it selfish to sit here and read all this and think I am patiently waiting for all quirks to be taken care of before making a decision on what tune to pick from a couple out there now getting the handle on the M2 finally?
Thank you to all of you jumping into this and thanks to proTUNING Freaks also for being on top of this and helping out each person to cleanup their small issues I have read so far. I am planning doing FMIC and then deciding which route to go. FSociety also keeps me posted every now and then about BM3.

I don't know about the US spec M2's but both SeanWRT and mine are having some issues with the OTC Stage 2 map and our cars are Euro Spec.
I did a dyno run yesterday using DynoJet and power output was impressive 376 rear wheel horsepower: Could be slightly more with the Eventuri intake. However, the whole thing needs to be more smoothed out, still having the same RPM issue and one other critical thing to double check... |

David,
I'll say it's really impressive for a N55 stock turbo make that kind of uncorrected wheel power on pump gas without meth in place, yet repeatable on a 90+F hot day and 60% humidity - 620NM (455lb*ft) of torque at max tapers to 430NM(317lf*ft) at fuel cutoff. Up next in my opinion you'll want to find a benchmark to make sure 430nm(317lb*ft) of torque at redline is valid. It takes a discerning eye to really see how torque really holds or falls up top from your dyno plot. It'd be much easier with just "NM or lb*ft" instead of KG*M for the measurement unit and removal the part of below zero. Let me help you with dyno plot below properly presenting torque curve. In addition, please clarify a few parameters associated with your dyno runs if you don't mind: 1) Fuel Octane? 2) Which gear? 3) Why fuel cutoff at 6100? Is it because of the incorrect speed to rpm calculation by Dynojet? This can also lead to incorrect torque value, hp would be correct regardless. 4) Max boost and the boost at redline? Quote:
