Nothing yet, although there’s no mention of the M2 Competition in BMW’s press materials for Beijing: http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1485167. The car is probably a hoax ...
... or maybe it’s just so cool that BMW is planning an exclusive event to unveil it. |

Maybe no one should listen to my opinion on the seats I've been happily track driving since 2000 in slippery all leather NON supportive Vadar seats in my M3 Limo (the Vadars were ALL looks). Most of my friends in this hobby hate driving on the track like this with nice g-force generating semi slicks and original slippery leather seats. But I'm fine with it. I do appreciate proper racing seats and I loved my CSL seats being proper bucket seats with just a teeny bit of extra street friendliness thrown in. But seats giving some minor extra support that really does nothing when on semi slicks and less comfort, nope. But that's me |

I have a M2 LCI that I received last December. The arrival of the M2c does not cause me any regret, but I do like several things about this new version:
* its more powerful engine, obviously. * Its optional M-seats * Its M-mirrors! * Its new colors, even if LBB remains my favorite. The noise of the S55 doesn't bother me. In fact, I'm maybe an alien, because I like its low-frequency metallic sound. The improvement of 0.1s for the 0-100km/h is really not much, but I guess that the improvement is significantly better for the 0-200km/h, of 1s at the very least. As I don't track my car, I don't care much, but it's still good to see BMW doing its best to keep the M2 at the same performance level than its competitors (RS3, A-AMG, Cayman S). I prefer the chrome (vs black) and smaller front kidneys of my car, but I don't find the new face of the M2c awful. The new kidneys clearly make the M2c look even more different from any other 2-series, and more aggressive. The main issue I see with my M2 LCI is its suspension: it is constantly hopping on bumpy roads, which is uncomfortable (don't eat too much before driving a M2 on Belgium roads!) but also makes the car have weird and sometimes unpredictable reactions when driving fast on a road that is not perfectly smooth. It doesn't make it really dangerous, just not precise enough to my taste (the blurry direction doesn't help either). Having watched many reviews of the M2, it is clearly a consensus that the suspension is the main flaw of the car. I really hope that BMW solved the issue with the M2c. On a personal note, I love my brand new M2 too much to replace it with a M2c, but I ordered the M-performance coilover suspension to improve its behavior on bumpy roads and lower it a bit ... and I will definitely install the M-mirrors of the M2c to make it look like a real M-car |

That front grill alone would be a deal breaker for me. Hideous.
