All thanks to the info in this thread.
You need to be nice but firm and contact the right people that can make it happen.
There was a list of BMW contact info published here several pages ago - page 23 - I'll say no more...
That is great news for you.
Like others have said, the issue comes down mostly to the lack of communication from BMW. It's embarrassing really.

If I was good at editing I'd grab the BMW Wait commercials and turn it in to a joke video for all of us here.

Any Canadians hear whether the parts actually made it here or not? They were due last Friday, then switched to today, but at this point I'm not holding my breath.

That's a quick turnaround! I got an email back from Jess and he handed off to someone with an email of @bmwnaext, which I wonder isn't external help to deal with the current situation. Fingers crossed!

Just received this from BMW Canada...

"The parts are in transit and have yet to arrive in Toronto."

I'm starting to get worried and severely pissed.

Yep, same here. Was told my fourth new delivery date was this Friday, that is no longer the case.

Also, and this may not be true but I have no reason to believe otherwise from my guys (and I think another forum member posted the same), the rear diffs are actually there, but they forgot to send the mounting bolts, which is delaying the whole thing.

I would personally like to bitch-slap whoever it is that is coordinating this recall. Un-f*cking-real.

Yes, this is unbelievable how this situation is being handled by BMW. Atrocious customer service top to bottom. I've been given a fourth delivery date as well, so it means nothing to be given a date. I've gotten the impression they really don't give a shit about their customers.. They sell so many cars, this issue doesn't mean squat to them. If it weren't for this forum I wouldn't even know there was a stop delivery on my car. My dealership hasn't even contacted me yet. When/if I ever receive the car, the name of the dealership will be going up here, and I'd advise everyone to avoid them at all costs. Is that something that can be posted on the forum or not? I don't want anyone else to experience the horrible customer service I've received from them.

Jesus fucking Christ. You may as well just cancel your 2016's and order a 2017 at this rate. Save yourself $5000 worth of instant depreciation.

Here's my story, for what it's worth. Took possession of my m4 on July 29th. Received a call a few days later from my salesperson, asking me to bring the car back, as it was part of the recall. He has been very accommodating, offering a loaner and payments until the car is fixed. I took the advice from a previous post, and group emailed all the managers listed in a post on page 23 last night, and this morning received a call from Nancy from BMWNA. She stated that this is not an official "recall" and reassured me that the car is safe to drive. She didn't tell me specific details but did say that there wouldn't be any issues for 10000-15000 miles. She didn't know when parts would be available. All I cared about was safety and not having to turn my car in for, potentially a couple of months.

Who is your source, would you mind sharing?

And that sounds about right given everything going on. I'm allegedly on the priority list, but I don't believe anything my dealer or BMW tells me anymore.

UPDATE FROM LOCAL DEALERSHIP:

"It has been confirmed that we shall be receiving the parts tomorrow."

If this doesn't happen I am going in by end of week and stealing my car (I kept a key from Euro Delivery) Fuckem' I paid for it and already took delivery in Europe, fucking thing is mine. That's that.

Yes, I noticed that the car drives spectacularly and that there is absolutely nothing wrong with it mechanically!

The only unexpected sound I noticed the entire time was the brakes squealing, and that only happen after a couple of hot laps on the nurburgring.

I was told the parts were arriving at the factory today by my dealer, mine has been sat at 5500 for nearly a month along with 5 other M's that my sealer ordered..
