It's a nice shade. More light than dark but still looks dark from afar. |

I think The dark interior accounts for some of the additional darkness

All the posts on this thread have shown darker tints. Thought I'd show a little more transparent result.. 70% on windshield and 55% on windows and rear. Very happy with results. Hadn't tinted any previous cars and this is the right balance for me while providing UV-A/B protection for the car's and my own skin.

Thanks, all - glad you agree it looks really good. The film has a blue tint which complements the MB nicely (but I think would look equally good on the other 3 colors).

Looks soooo good. Its such a great feeling when you walk away from your car and can't help turning around to give it one more look. Thinking, damn, that looks good.

I believe AxM2CS used Xpel Prime XR Plus. The best of the best.
Anything Xpel makes is the best IMHO. And yes I'm a shareholder, lol

I just realized the 70% is the extra thickness product (2mil) , which costs quite a bit more. I think I will go with the 55% which actually looks the same but has the standard thickness. I remember comparing those two in the showroom and deciding the extra thickness was overkill. I just didn't remember the numbers on them, but 55% is definitely what I will go with. Trying to keep the cost somewhat reasonable considering I am doing a full PPF, ceramic over the top including wheels and brake calipers, window coating on outside and the tint. Total cost is going to be right around $7300.

Mike's correct, it's Xpel Prime XR Plus (he should know, we had our cars done in tandem at the same detailer). You'll be happy with those, CarJunkie - it is a very quality tint and perfect amount without being too dark at night, in parking garages, etc. Will set off your MB with black wheels perfectly.

Congrats, it looks great. George has MB, you have HS, I have BSM, Max has BSM. We need a local with an AW so we can have the grandslam of M2CS.
