in the 1/8th of a blurry picture it looks like random white. We don't have a copy of a video to actually see it..... so what is there to really say about it?

More aggressive front and the same happens at the rear! That is something we all knew that was happening. Great to see this finally. Question is; is that Hockenheim Silver we are looking at?
There is no Competition Package, but the dealer might have heard that if you take it all it is worth 18K USD in total! That would mean roughly 15K in EUR. I would not be amazed if that would be price tag. MR |

are you this new to BMW ? or are you just trying to stick with the M2 comp name.. which of course is completely unofficial anyway...
the Term Competition Package began as a ZCP option group more than a decade ago. https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...05-What-is-ZCP Last edited by M3 Adjuster; 01-23-2018 at 05:32 PM.. |

Hard to tell if the car in the picture is white or silver, but I'm leaning towards white and poor lighting/camera quality. If it's silver, it has more gray in it than titanium silver, but less gray than the old silver gray metallic from the e46 which remains one of my favorites.

I don't think I ever saw anything definitivley saying it won't be offered. All we had to go on were the leaked VINs for the M2 Competition, none of them were MG.

Tag, what you have right now appears to be best described as.. WILLING SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF.
if you want the M2 COMP. it will be available in Hockenheim Silver (which doesn't look much different from White apparently), Alpine White, Sunset Orange, LBB or BSM. if you want an M2 with OEM paint as MG.. then you should FULLY expect to be scrambling for a 2018 model sometime around April. I think it's going to be an amazing colour - for me one of the main things that make me wait for the full reveal. That colour plus the new black wheels and M Performance carbon goodies... Magic. For me it looks like a non-metallic silver or lighter version of Nardo Gray. Hope you can say something about it or at least compare it to something. That wouldn't be a breach right? Hoping for a similar version to this: Last edited by Benef1cient; 01-23-2018 at 05:33 PM.. |

Look what BMW has subjected us to... a low quality photo showing 1/3 of the front end results in 7 pages of comments in less than 24 hours (counting this thread and the original ). I will reserve all my judgement until a better photo is out. The whole Competition vs CS vs Cs debacle is ridiculous as well.

- BMW M is slated to release a slew of new M models to take on Audi and Merc. They've confirmed this. - it stands to reason that model nomenclature will be consistent between series - for the M3 and M4 we have a competition pack (zcp) which is really a nice tweek on the base model. Ie a bit of tune, handling/chassis refinement etc. - then we have the M3/4 CS which goes up significantly in performance to 460 bhp and is a new model with limited production rather than a package. So for the M2 the front grill changes, s55 engine etc all feels like a CS to me. It seems like a big step to be called the ZCP or comp package. What do you guys/gals think? |
