Don't get me wrong, I would love to see a 2er GC, but I'd rather be optimistic about something that's possible (CF roof on the M2), rather than falsely hope for a 2er GC to come out next year without even seeing mules being tested yet

It still has a year before the standard 2GC is "planned to be released". Plenty of time for mules to come out. I'm still confident until I hear an actual no, like when the head of M division came out and said no M4GC. |

I read them, I just think that because there havent been updates in so long, and then the more recent updates with the new 1er render, Scott might have said 2er instead of 1er on purpose? Although I wouldnt know why he'd do that. Nevermind

I'm just hoping BMW decides that they definitely want to take on the CLA45 AMG and they build the M2GC. That'd be a cool matchup even with the Merc being 4wd. I'd really love a modern E36 M3 sedan with a turbo.

I remember hearing from another thread that the 1 series linup will recieve an M1 (NOT M1 Supercar or i8S!), thats purely speculative though.

I wish BMW would just put me out of my misery and announce their model roadmap for the next 2-3 years. I know that wouldn't be smart from a business standpoint, but it would be nice for us to know.

I think they have like a 7 year plan for upcoming models and facelifts (Top Secret?) and thats part of the reason they are researching CF with Toyota.

What's the point for M235i and M2 (same thing with M340i and M3). A 235i is ok but M235i? I understand the M Performance cars, had this two..hmm? Also, why they make M5(5)0d? Who wants M Diesel?! But again, IN MY OPINION |

An M235i/M240i is going to be pretty different than the M2. Maybe not so much in terms of the engine, but visually, and dynamically too. Try driving an F30 335i and then drive an F80 M3. P.S. I would kill for an F11 M550d. You have no idea how good you Europeans have it . Well apart from what you have to pay for cars of course

@Scott26: it would be interesting to know if the 2 series GC will be released and the most potent version will be an M Performance one or an M2
