I'm not even sure it'll need it. I think I'll probably a set downpipes and leave the exhaust flaps open all the time and that should be perfect. I usually mess around with the exhaust, but I think BMW might have nailed it from factory for once.

It sounds smooth, lovely blip there on the downshift, it's lacking the racecar like shoutyness of the S55 though, sounds very similar to my old M135i..

Not sure it's been posted already, but I think this is a new one:

My observations, not sure if noted before, anyway, rear diffuser looks very bulky, openings at the trailing edge of front guards, noticeable in the Rear on pic.
And the noticeable edges in the intakes on the front bar, highlighted by others previously. Oh yeh, and how good do the wheels fill those flared guards, hmmmmm |

We (not the bimmer community) have been using this "diffuser" word to describe that stylized piece of covering over the exhaust. Do we know if it really is a "diffuser" and that it works like a "diffuser"? What I am getting at is that there are cars with try diffusers and then there are cars with either black plastic and or stylized pieces of plastic that mimic a diffuser. |

My favorite angle of the car (other than it being in my garage). It looks so perfectly balanced visually.
As for the rear, I still believe that the M2 will need a taller spoiler (i.e M-Performance) for it to work.

http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showp...83&postcount=1 Correction for the author of the video: F87 M2 instead of F86 (which is the model code for the X6 M). July 2015 (Nürburgring - Germany):

Yup, saw that as well. Stopped laptime 8:21 min for the M4 GTS and 8:32 for the M2. They weren't going for fastest lap time because the standard M4 does it around 7:50 and the 1M did it in around 8:12. I hope the M2 will approach 8 min around the nurburgring.

If the sound I hear coming from these cars on the ring is the true sound, the M2 sounds better to me than the M4 GTS. Granted, it's a limited presence for both and I'm not wearing my hearing aid.
