+1 Im on the list for the M2, but on the fence pending further details. If there was no M2 I wouldnt buy an M3/M4. Even at the same price point, or with more power, etc etc. My money would just go elsewhere.

M3 is for us poor souls that haul around others/kids regularly. Or really don't like the long coupe doors |

N54 engine? Has that definitely been confirmed? If so, that's a deal breaker for me. I don't understand why they can't use a detuned S65!! and also lots of... Quote:
This is a one off car and the N55 is coming... isn't that the better motor? Why can't BMW make it SPECIAL and bring back the S54....that was the BEST MOTOR EVER... why don't they use that? or.. wait.. The S65 is still in production..... I don't think it will hurt the M3 sales as there is a different buyer of a 1 series vs. a 3 series. And of course the old and tired.. I'm not gonna get an M2.. it's just an M235 with a body kit and a tune.. it was.. I'm not gonna get a 1M.. it's just a 135 with a body kit and a tune.. Apparently... MANY BMW fans are DOOMED to repeat the same mistakes... Doesn't say much for the intelligence of the average bimmer fan.. Last edited by M3 Adjuster; 08-13-2015 at 04:46 PM.. |

This is great news,I didn't want the M2 to have the adaptive suspension anyway. This means that the car will come with a very firm sport suspension.

The S55 could cause the price to go up... in theory anyway. I am still curious to see what this car prices at, but the M2 is just going to be the M235i of your dreams. Kind of... except you can't get it in Sahkir Orange or Monte Carlo Blue. :P

Good question. With 18s on the M235i, I can drive around in Sport all day long. Every now and then I put it in comfort if I'm a really crappy road and have passengers. On 19s and in a part of the world that gets a lot of snow, those 437s are going to be put to the test.

This is a Euro options list. BMW package STD and option groups completely differently in the US.

Official: means it came from BMW. Confirmed: means BMW have published it to the public. The M2 engine code was obtained from leaked documents long ago, and many publications have run with it. The code is N55B30T0. If you search the forum, you'll find lots and lots of discussion.

My E46 M3 has 19 inch wheels and I have no problem driving the car everyday.I like the firm suspension setup on my car and that is what I want on the M2.My car used to have the factory 18's and then I put on the 19 inch competition package wheels.I really didn't notice that big of a difference in the ride,as far as feeling bumps but the handling of the car was improved.

I'm pretty disappointed but I knew it was coming. 2 series seats and not even a CF roof option. I need a reveal of this car including interior ASAP to finally makeup my mind on this car.
