Just called BMW Canada.

There is no "hold" delivery on my car (will see when it gets to the dealer).
The car will be shipped to the dealer (1-2 weeks it will be there).
BMW Canada is working on the tracking system like they have in the US. the project was approved and needs to be implement by IT (no timeline yet).

(probably due to my many weekly calls and emails)

so the system will be implemented by the time you are ready to make your next BMW purchase.. only one problem... you probably wont be buying another BMW again

Nothing you can do until WW shows the status as 'released from port' - took me 3 days after boat got there. After that it goes to the VPC, and from there to likely Hansen's for shipping since you are in Montreal.

I found out Hansen's was booked before my dealer did, just kept checking their website with your VIN (use the full thing or minimum 8 digits, 7 doesn't work).

Yes. I have the MPE option. I wonder how long it will take to install the MPE.

I guess it all depends on how busy they are at the BMW facility that does the work in Halifax.Hopefully your car will get it installed very quickly.

Was told that my car would definitely be coming to toronto by rail and not by truck..guess that will add a few days. I will also be in the dark now til it arrives at the dealership I guess...

Assuming the same shipping process as me, it'll go via rail to the Toronto holding yard in Concord. Eventually it'll be scheduled to be trucked via Hansen's to your dealer....once that happens you can track via their site with your VIN.

Only problem is you'll have to check every day on the Hansen's site...
