Newly acquired 2021 M2 Comp from last production month (June 2021), with only 350 miles on it (when I bought it last week).

The Sunset Orange is insane. What a color, and what a blast to drive, especially with the manual transmission!

Bit of a late post, but a select few photos from my Blue Ridge Parkway Trip over the July 4th weekend. Was also the one-year anniversary for the car! Beautiful roads and a worthy companion to carve them up with. Carved them up so much that the US Park Rangers decided to pay me an unwelcomed visit right at the end of the trip... Alas, wasn't enough to spoil the otherwise amazing drive!

ive decided to make a roadtrip out of our next 2 destinations: DC > NW GA mountains > nashville > DC in early october. will definitely be hitting BRP again.

It annoys me when guys post that Long Island Blue is the "best" color for the M2C. Any color is subjective, of course, and none is the "best." However ............. if I had to pick, Sunset Orange would get my vote for "best."

Took this shot in the supermarket parking lot. No saturation in the photo, as you can tell from the slightly muted green of the trees. Just amazing.

SO is great in the sun, I just couldn’t do it in the shade.

Just joking because I know you mean LBB, but lol at Long Island Blue.

but it looks soooo amazing in the shadows!

i hadnt driven the car for about 3 weeks until yesterday, and every time i walked up to it i couldnt help but take a pic. when i flipped through the pics this morning, i was just amazed at how the color changes so much depending on the lighting...bright morning sun, shadowy garage, and late evening sunset...no post-processing on these -- just default iphone 13 settings. i just cant be more happy at having ordered this color!

I like it in all lighting, because it can look so different. In the shade it looks like a beautiful bronze orange. In sunlight almost electric orange with a little red in it. And in nighttime street lighting it looks neon. Very dynamic color.

I just don't like the brown undertones in some light. I wanted to, because I love it in the sun, but it's even worse than Sakhir Orange for me in the shade unfortunately. A great color no doubt, just not for me.

The problem imo is not just when its in a shade, but rather when theres no sun and the color turns somewhat bronze.

Of course I've got used to it by now and don't dislike it, but chose the color for what it is under the sun.

Interesting. And color preference is such a personal thing. But the bronze tones are a big reason why I love the color. Without those differences in low sunlight, bright sunlight, shade, partial shade, nighttime lighting etc .... Sunset Orange could be boring without the dynamic changes.

There are oranges by other manufacturers like that (VW, Subaru, even Mercedes with Sunsetbeam) that are a more "stable" orange colors. They can look cheap and clownish, though. Orange is very tricky to get right. SO looks so much richer and interesting than any other orange on the road. Just my 2 cents.

Aston has sunburst orange (I think) and it is similar to sunset. It was on Grand tour…Jeremy was driving it and loving it…other two were saying…"it's brown." Same when James had the sunset 850i.
