I feel like M2C owners get butthurt about it. Fact is its there and its ugly. Its a minor concern on an otherwise perfect car. But dont try and deny you cant see it. |

Standing at the dealership now looking at a LCI and Comp the difference in the exhaust can/visibility is night and day. I thought some photos were trying to exaggerate the size on purpose however standing about 3-4 meters back you can't miss it.
Regardless nothing is ever perfect as we all wish. I think I will change my plate to nuts.

Any idea why BMW considers our vehicles F22s and not F87 in Australia? I've noticed that the M2s are being registered as F22 coupes in Australia.
Here is the government database, and they are also listing it as an F22. This is based on manufacturer supplied data and is not a mistake. http://rvcs.infrastructure.gov.au/pe...2018083042.cmd |

There’s a better term for people that obsess over it though. "Anorak" /ˈænəræk/ is a British slang which refers to a person who has a very strong interest, perhaps obsessive, in niche subjects. This interest may be unacknowledged or not understood by the general public. |

Fyi my M2 says F22 on the Australian compliance sticker but states F87 on the vehicle rego papers. Nothing to worry about. |

...until someone interstate buys it second hand in 15 years time, and the ID inspector at the rego office in the new state has a bureaucratic hissy fit (oh, yes...it happens 🙄 )

Got these pics thanks to the dealer, who I have been annoying probably to their wits end! He's been so helpful. But the good news is I'll be collecting it tomorrow. SO EXCITED!!
I've been waiting nearly a month as I just bought a pre-built allocation, luckily had everything I wanted. Cannot imagine waiting 6 months.. HS w/ Orange. Jet Black wheels. No sunroof. Standard brakes. Yay! |

As an auto it works well enough. But you’d never choose to drive it that way unless forced. Also. Nice car! Looks so high riding on those shipping blocks. Last edited by Davil; 10-10-2018 at 11:13 PM.. |

Either way, both options suit the car IMO. |

I totally didn't even see the shipping height. That's from blocks they put in the springs from what I recall isn't it? |

On the road or twisties where everything is much slower I'd always prefer a manual to enjoy the heel toeing and throttle control the clutch gives you. I remember how intoxicating driving a friend's pdk GT3 RS was on track then being utterly bored driving it on street. I've never driven a manual I didn't like though in any situation. Tried to use the paddles in my DSG but just never enjoyed it enough to continue. |

Yes the ride height is bang on at delivery. Amazing it still has so much travel. I took it over some really bumpy curvy roads the other day and the way it was so unphased was incredible. Last edited by Davil; 10-10-2018 at 07:07 AM.. |

For me though. I just love this paddle shifting thing. Makes me grin like a loon and that’s the main thing. |
