Hey Kevin, I know they say 4-6 weeks, but how long was the the turn around on your Cocomat order? I placed mine second week of May and am hoping they get here before delivery on 6/22. Also selected for them to contact me about the trunk mats, but I haven't heard anything. Not a huge priority right now so it's fine if it takes a while, but I love the character these mats add to the interior, and am really looking forward getting them.

I want to order some too soon for winter, are they still having production delays?

No clue. I'd say reach out to Apex. They just got a whole bunch of stock, so ordering now might be prudent.

First time trying it, easy to use, looks good, apply with 1 microfiber cloth, remove/clean with a second microfiber.

I've had good luck with Griots cleaning products in my experience.

I love this stuff. I can't believe how many products I have tried over the years (), but I'm sticking with this and Griot's ceramic detailer for in-between. Easy to apply and very durable.

It’s custom fit. I don’t remember if it was an automatic option or via comment on the order. Either way, figment is surgically precise and it looks fantastic.

Ordered 5/14, received 6/11 in AZ. Really happy with the trunk mat. Pics do it no justice. Side bonus: some extra sound deadening, due to its thick rubber backing under the coco.

Give Drew a call (he’s the head caboozle and a VERY nice guy), he’s probably been buried.

First thing day after delivery - installed M Performance Stainless Steel Pedal Covers. Part no. 35-00-2-232-276 (manual transmission).

https://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRINT/4169

Installation took about 30 minutes. Key tools needed:
  1. Torx T-15 tool
  2. Drill
  3. 4.5mm (11/64") drill bit for brake and clutch
  4. 2.8mm (7/64") drill bit for gas pedal

The first step is to protect the area from metal and plastic shavings that will get caught in the carpet fibers otherwise. I used the handy paper foot protectors that were in the car on delivery.

I used a 3/32" bit to drill pilot holes in the brake and clutch pedals. Then the final 11/64" bit went through easily. Curiously, the clutch pedal seems to be made of plastic or composite material. The pilot holes went right through in a couple seconds with hardly any pressure, while the brake pedal is definitely steel and took more time and pressure. (I saw another DIY post on this installation where the poster said to use a corded electric drill because a cordless drill doesn't have enough power. It's not true. I used a standard 19.2v Craftsman cordless drill and had no problem at all.)

The screws go through the holes and use small nuts attached behind the pedals. Holding the nuts behind the pedals while screwing the screws in is perhaps the most difficult part of the installation as the nuts are tiny. But it's not all that hard to do.

For $60K, these pedal covers should have been standard equipment, like on most other sporty cars. Luckily, it's an easy enough DIY job. I have attached the installation PDF at the bottom of this post, as it is not included in the box.

Why do you want some star spec 255/275? They aren‘t really suitable for the M2,
as the 255 is originally from an rear axle BMW and the 275 is from an front axle. The driving behaviour could be interesting.
Get rid of the star spec and have fun, as the generic version is quite perfect and commonly used (see the 255/275 tire thread).

wjones14 From all the photos I've seen, I'm finding the brake or clutch pedal always comes out noticeably crooked. Is that just a trick of the camera or are they actually like that in person?

Yeah. Car has been a bit of a garage queen due to various circumstances. Bought it in the winter and car came with summer only tires. Had to wait a month to get an appointment with my PPF guy, working from home so no commute etc etc.

Fair point.

Since the car is in the shop for break in service today I played around the DMV website and ordered some vanity plates. Never had vanity plates before on any of my other cars, but the M2 is special so I went for it.

Most good options are already taken, but this one kinda tickled me given the double meaning. I do feel very empowered to drive fast when I drive my M powered M2C
