As of 6/8/16 BMW Pricing Guide, the standard M2 wheels are code 2VZ 437M wheels and tires - exactly the same as M4 equivalents: Font: 19x9.0 255/35 R19 Rear: 19x10.0 275/35 R19 They are no longer 245/35/19 and 265/35/19. |

19" 437m 18" 640m winter set. Sorry 17" is fiction and also won't clear the brakes !

Ok... so many questions...
1. The 640M tire package for the M3 is 8.5 x 18 wheels for the front and 9.0 x 18 wheels for the rear. BUT THE TIRES APPEAR TO BE SQUARE AT 255/40R18
Does that make sense? Why are the rears bigger but the same size tire? 2. Tirerack lists the rears as being 245 for the fronts and 265 for the rears! 3. BMW makes the entire package available, but it looks like it is using an older version of the Continental tires TS830P which have been replaced. So I'm at a loss here - can I grab the square 18" Wheels off of my friend's 3-series? Or do I need to have 9" wheels in back? What the heck fits this car!???? In a perfect world, I'd buy some used rims and fit the car with Nokian WGR3s -but that is looking to be VERY complicated!

BMW most certainly offers these wheels in their system to dealers. I am not saying they will fit. Now what is the difference between the 640M 18"and the 513M wheels? Appears the 513M are the 18" from the M3 and the 640M are the.... ?

I ended up ordering a set of 19" Michelin Alpin tyres in the OEM sizes to be fitted on the oem M2 wheel. In the spring of 2017 I will order some 19" BBS CH-R wheels to fit the Michelin Supersport tyres on that are fitted as standard.

So both the OEM winter setups (640M and 641M) for the M3/M4 should will the M2. Both sets are 8.5" wide ET27 front and 9" wide ET29 rear. Here's even early pics of the M2 with the 640M on it.

I ordered the 640M's and will let them paint in satin black. Choice of tyres will be Michelin Alpin or Continental with downsizing to 235-40 front and 255-40 rear.
Only problem, Michelin Alpin PA4 is not available in 255-40's I wonder why BMW's winterset choice on the M2 is 235-40 all around. |

Got my winter wheels...
VMR 710FF in matte graphite. 19x9.5 ET33 and will run a square 255/35-19 tire for easy rotation. The offsets and wheels should leave OEM fender clearance all around and only be 9mm closer to the suspension in the front... i.e. no fitment issue. They are flow formed and pretty light at 22.6lbs each which is great for a winter wheel. Plus, I think they look great! Retail is $1,360 for the set which is better than pretty much anything OEM and lighter than traditionally cast wheels. Plus certifications include JWL, VIA & ISO-9001:2000 so they are pretty well made for the price. P.S. Way better concavity than the pictures illustrate too

Also, the ET is a 33 (again, my mistake) so only 9mm closer which should be fine. OEM is an ET29 (4mm difference) and the OEM tire is 5 mm narrower per side so the 9mm total.

And how is that 19" winter set working out for you? Are you going to get an other 19" wheels set for your summer tyres?

19" winters work just fine, I have been using that for over 10 straight years here in Sweden without ever having any issues. Yes, I have a new summer set with the OEM tires on them.

I just ordered myself a 18" winter set at HRE Europe (europe@hrewheels.com). Matte black FF15 flowform.
I actually saw them here on Bimmerpost for the first time. This was 20", but turns ou they also have them in 19" and 18". http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1255196 I ordered 9x18 ET23 and 10x18 ET35 with Michelin Pilot Alpin 4 245/40R18 and 265/40 R18 - all mounted up with original BMW tire pressure sensors. 2.990 EUR plus tax for everything. Shipping was free. I'll be getting them in 10 days or so. |

I received the 640M's in the meantime. They should be painted in Satin Black first before putting tyres. And not yet sure about the choice, Michelin Pilot Alpin or ContiWinterContact TS, neither about the sizes. front:18x40x235, rear:18x40x255 or 18x40x245 all around.

Should look great in black.
I'm pretty much decided on a full set of 1M front spec alloys wearing 235 wide rubber. Offset should bring them inboard around 3mm which will protect from winter debris from side of car. |
