I would be really curious to see OP's bimmer.work VIN report and images.
This is what mine shows: Quote:

: I've always thought so, too. But I can't think of anything else in the VIN report that could account for it, and still nobody has posted pictures of the exterior, interior, and VIN report of the same car. So who knows if they changed the piano black interior trim to match the chrome exterior trim.
I guess unless OP does that, we're going to have to wait and see until someone in the US takes delivery. All I know is that my car is completed and that's what the mockup shows. I'd be a little surprised if it were wrong, but stranger things have happened.

I love the readability of the new cluster, but i'm less of a fan of the fake stitching on the dash. |

The official photos from BMW show the open CF on the dash has what looks like a piano black trim on the bottom which wraps up around the right end. The rest of the trim look more like brushed aluminum than chrome.

When the M2 came out people were "mad" it didn't do as it's bigger siblings. So maybe they fixed it or maybe the series 2er is white all year long too.

I'm not really digging the new dash design. Looks weird on the passenger side with that carbon strip ending so soon.
Those gauges are a great improvement though - I may consider a retrofit in the future. |

However, so far being on road and track, keeping that blue/red digi dial always on seem to serve the purpose well enough. |

All this on and on about dashes and clusters. When I drive my car I couldn't give 2 f*cks about that stuff. Makes zero difference to me. Stitching and icons...jeez folks.

Instrument cluster is a huge improvement. Only had my car for 2 weeks, and so far, the only gripe I have is the dials, if wearing sun glasses or in low light situations where the headlights are off, you really cant see much!
I am hoping these can be retro fitted, not bothered about the head/tail lights and the minor interior changes, but need those dials in my life!! Congratulations on your new car! |

I agree in the most part, but the dials on the pre-LCI are difficult to see in certain lighting conditions. These look like they resolve that issue.

Could we get a few more pics of where the glove box meets the climate control / radio buttons, from the passenger seat?
Want to make sure this KUDA phone mount will work with the LCI, hard to tell if the dash is changed enough down there to make it not fit correctly...

Thanks, fellow country man. Happy motoring.
BMW must have realized that the instrument cluster of the pre-LCI M2 required improvement. Readability on your M2 is much better. And the bigger sized digital speedometer is also a plus. Should have been like this right from launch. Your M2 LCI instrument cluster: Compare with mine in overcast conditions: Another pre-LCI M2: See the instrument cluster lighting threads:

Can't believe how bad the visibility is on the preLCI M2. Even the 2017 125i M Sport dials look clearer.

The rest of the dash board is a bit of a mess in my opinion (Middle Screen excluded that also looks good). MJ |

wow so the cluster is digital now. awesome!
are there changes of theme when you change modes? or it stays the same in normal, sport, sport+ mode? my x6 changes into blue theme in Eco mode and red theme in Sport mode.
