M3 CS starting price --> $98,250
M3 Comp starting price --> $72,200 So M3 CS costs 36% more than M3 Comp and this is without CCBs. With CCBs, the price difference is $34K (47% more than Comp). If you apply the same premium over M2C, it might cost around $80K without CCBs or $87K with CCBs. |

How much HP increase was there from the regular M3/4 to the M3/4 CS?
What are we expecting it will be for the M2CSL? Also, I thought the progression was to CS then to CSL??? How do we know it will be a 1 year limited run? Sorry for all the Q's.....so, many things racing in my mind right now |

I also think it will be a CS, not a CSL. Since the F80/82 only went to a CS level, I can't see an M2 getting the CSL moniker before the M3/4. Perhaps we will see that in the G series cars though, since we now know the new hierarchy of M cars: Base --> Competition --> CS --> CSL

This car will probably arrive in 2020 towards the end of production for F87 generation so that's why it'll probably be limited run. |

for a street car...unfortunately based on the M4 GTS experience, BMW is probably all out of ideas. Maybe expect around a 100lb weight reduction due to additional carbon fiber usage in body panels, aluminum suspension parts and removal of backseats.

For a track car, you'll go broke running carbon brakes. $600 pad replacements after about 3 track days, not to mention $12k rotor replacements after about 8. Here's the bimmerpost member who's done it:

Looks like it is equipped with DCT (silver paddle shifter), like every CS/CSL/ GTS of the last few generations of M cars
Here is to hoping it is offered with a manual as well.... |

BMW make a ton of profit on this high-priced variants. Way more than any other 2-series.
