I’m in the same market for a f87 or e9x
I think it depends what you want. Imo the e9x is raw, classic, and sounds amazing. It’s a timeless car. M2c is fun as well and a better “daily” imo. Based on my friends opinion as they have owned both, they would go for the e9x I’m personally leaning towards the m2c as it better fit my needs |

OP, try and get a good test drive in an M2; it drives so different to your M3; the torque down low is going to feel like a rocket, but when on and going for it, you will really feel the M2 lack compared to the M3 above 5000rpm.
