That does sound VERY N55-esque indeed.
I think there will be some mastery with the exhaust though. So don't count on it sounding anything like this near the end. Much how I never liked the e46 M exhaust note, the F80/82 has grown on me and is DEFINITELY unique. I think there may just be some uniqueness here too. Car is looking promising though |

A quick but nice sound clip of the ///M2
Sounds pretty damn good. Definitely more tuning to come me thinks. 10 seconds between 0:50 and 1:00 approximately. Only seen and heard once in this vid Quick comparison to the 1M and the M235i m235i Last edited by UpNcOmINg!; 04-21-2015 at 10:19 AM.. |

Source: http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1131305 This time (May 24, 2014 testing) we spot the same usual suspects of May 21, 2014 again: M-HF5400 - M-HF5502 - M-KJ5136 - M-KJ5137 Would make sense if 2 manual transmission + 2 DCT Red box mounted on the front of the test mules = lap time transponder. the composure on this car has me sold completely!
Sounds fantastic as well. Typical N55 sound but with that little bit extra. I extra some more epic tweaks to really show the nature of this car! |

Added another video of the May 24, 2015 test session to post #1.
It contains the same video material of the Bimmerpost video, except for the 00:42-00:54 section: shifting on Karussell + flooring it hard:

Frankly, the more time I spend looking at these mules, the less excited I get about the design.
I don't see any design "visual cues" that were supposed to be taken from the Vision GT. Sure there is the camo to contend with, but the outline of the car is visible from all angles. And there aren't any positions on the mules body which suggest a hidden surprise. A new vent hole in the rear bumper, to me, isn't that big a deal. What I do see when I look at all the mules is an M2 which has taken it's design cues from the M235i racing and not the Vision GT. In the end, the M2 being a quasi M235i racing. That's not a bad thing, the M235i racing is a nice looking car. But that's all. From a design standpoint, the promises of the past year or so, to me, don't seem like they are going to materialize; so, I'm recalibrating my enthusiasm. On the front you see the tips of the "fangs" peeking out below what seems to be just a big stripe of camo running from left to right. We don't know how that part will look without the camo but it definitely doesn't rule out the GT6 design. Quite the opposite since the "fangs" hint a lot at a GT6-style intake area. On the side it seems to get the vents on the front fenders, although of course less pronounced. I expect it to look similar to the M4 in that regard. I guess the rear fenders won't get any of the GT6's special features, though. They'll probably "just" be wider than on the standard M235i. The rear is the hardest to guess, especially from the videos. On photos it looks like the design will have the vertical lines of the GT6 on the far left and right but I'm not sure about the rest. Also the little diffuser on the bottom is vaguely similar to the GT6 but of course smaller and also housing the actual exhausts. |

Thanks Gonven.
Added both new videos to the first post: http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showp...83&postcount=1 EDIT: as the video apparently caught the eye of one of the admins who "promoted" the post to a dedicated thread (Bimmerpost), I credited you in that first post of that thread: http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showp...32&postcount=1
