To everyone, you can config burble back to stock which in my opinion is pretty aggressive with dp+catback. To me, stock is too aggressive. N55 is a good sounding engine for a turbocharge 6 pot. Don't make it a firework shooter.
My custom map (by Halim), the burble is decreased from stock.

I tried moving the Custom sliders around and reflashing, but they had no impact.
I will say that I had just brought my car back from the dealer (flashed to stock & locked first), flashed 5.6, and then disabled ASD. I don’t think you have to disable ASD first before flashing (vs flash then ASD off) to get burbles, but just letting you guys know. I’ll try the OEM setting until it gets fixed. Altho, it already sounds pretty OEM. |

Well, I tried everything from checking that ASD was disabled via BimmerCode to also disabling again in BM3, and reflashed OEM, OTC, and set Custom burble settings to max.
No change. I'll hang tight for a fix or update. |

They came back for me when I flashed the v5.6 93oct Stg2 AGG tune. I have everything but a downpipe and I'm not tracking the car right now, so I think it's okay. But yea, I had the same experience as you as far as changing the burbles settings in Stg1 not affecting anything. I actually didn't try changing the burble settings in the Stg2 AGG tune either, so maybe they don't work too, but the tune restored the burbles I like so I haven't had a reason to touch them.

To the guys with burble issues on 5.6, are you all on stock DP? I can count that at least three of us are.
If so, I’m curious if it’s just the 5.6 tune with more midrange power and maybe there’s less unburnt fuel for the burbles, and our stock DP is muffling them up? |

Stock DP here and 5.6 sounds like stock. Atleast traction mode still crackles and pops

Basically: BM3 Custom Burbles Sport setting is actually comfort mode on the N55 F-Series cars. Turn this up to 5.8 and you'll have aggressive burbles again. However in BM3 Custom Burbles Sport+ which is Sport mode on the car, the burbles are less than oem even at the same 5.8 aggression. By the way I am on sport cat |
