Not available for the M2 since they don't want you feeling like you're getting the real M experience. You have to step up to the M3/4 for that.

Like the guy in Abu Dhabi who got that white M3 was it about a month before release?

Does he still post on Bimmerpost even, fame is so short lived in modern society.

They are capping it at 40 cars and are in the low 30's right now. Last I heard they had a couple of M2 allocations left as well. I'll be on that trip in an M2.

Just sent my deposit in for an M2 allocation for the delivery event, really a no brainer with the way my local dealers are handling the M2, i.e., no solid answer on the possibility of an ED ever on an M2. Should be awesome.

Wow and its going to cost under $5,000 that's really, really good considering all the activities. My last ED trip I spent about $2,500 not including flights and I didn't do anything close to what they have lined up. This is going to be fun for anyone that decides to do it. And worth every dollar in my opinion.

It is true. I almost signed up. IMO when doing ED for the first time and with a loved one its better to do it on your own. The trip will be so much more special if you coordinate it yourself and just go. Going with a bunch of people like that really takes away the personal feel from you of a international vacation.

Any time you can OLLIE a curb in a car... it's pretty special.

I'm doing the delivery day with everyone and then going my separate way, the delivery day event includes a cocktail party, private tour of the Welt and then a party at a beer garden. With this I get to use the bargaining power of the group delivery and get to experience a bit of the event but get to see family and explore on my own during my ED.

I think it's awesome either way.. but I agree.. for those that enjoy exploring... it's nice to have the freedom of going your own pace and being able to change your mind and stay in a location or change your plans. Of course.. for people who are stressed out by being in unique situations... having a plan and a tour guide is probably just as good.

On my first (and only) trip.. my family and I met Dackel and ended up going to see Dackau as well as other parts of Munich... We also decided to spend an extra day in Innsbruck, Austria (that is a really fun, cool, city) and cancelled our plans to try and squeeze in travel to Venice.

If you are on your own.. you are correct.. it's probably more of an international experience because you have to communicate and plan for yourself.

I thought that you had to join all their activities and they weren't going to let you do stuff a la carte. Could be wrong though.

The timing is just off for me. I'm not ready to pull the trigger on the M2 or M3 yet unfortunately.

I agree. If I was doing this with a significant other, it would probably not be with a large group.

For this trip a buddy of mine is tagging along and we're the most stoked about the track days, partying in amsterdam, and m festival partying

It also is a bit less stressful to have all the planning already done for you and everything paid for up front.

I tried to convince my wife to go on the 'I am Delivered' ED trip. She also told me that it will take away from the personal feeling of the trip and it will not seem like its 'our' trip anymore. Maybe if I were going with a guy friend than I would of attended.

My ED trip next year I am planning on getting a hotel near the nurburgring and doing 4 laps. Can't wait to go back.

Will you be doing ED on the M2?

absolutely. Wouldn't buy one if I couldn't go pick it up. I was the same way about the 1M and I am glad because the ED experience is simply incredible. I love my 1M... but a new warranty and a new ED trip are my primary motivators for the M2. I could just as easily order a new X1 however, I know. we shall see where the M2 pricing comes in. Under 52 and I am probably in. Over 52K and replacing my aging SUV is probably more in order.

Bet you'll be driving a new SUV in Germany then, just saying!

1 more week. Hell, I think even less. Would not be remotely surprised that if the Oct 14th date is true, someone will leak it before.

I know the feel though. My 97 4Runner has 300k miles and I'm driving that thing till the wheels falls off or it catches on fire.

I'm on the F80 M3 camp right this week, but that constantly changes

LOL. totally.. my Expedition has a check engine light that I have been ignoring for about 7k miles. Got tired of throwing money at it. The light goes away for a week at times. I'm driving it into the ground... if it makes it to be a trade-in that would be nice but it's not getting any more $$

An E46 daily driver would be nice and I am on the lookout for one.

A buddy of mine yesterday was telling me to sell my 1M and F off and buy an M3 lol... it's just too BIG. I would have to remove the post in the center of my two car garage to get that big girl in there.. ha!
