You are right, configurator from BMW USA is very different than in EU where we have much more options. Now Lets see if Chrome will be possible with M2C which I doubt. So it makes me think that for a real M2 collector, I should have chosen MG color and chrome line ... sh...

To be honest, I'm not really sure.

Seems like BM3 would be what you're looking for in that case with all the custom tuning that is available.

In all honesty, I am a newb in all of this and can barely read a dyno graph properly. Trying to learn what I can from reading other threads!

I wonder if you could just buy the headlights themselves (without all of the control units) and run them with the stock pre-lci xenon hardware.

I'm assuming it's probably not possible since the hardware and wiring are most likely very different, but that would be a much cheaper/easier solution to get the look without the huge cost.

Drove the M2 to work today, and tonight reading on the F22/F23 forums, noticed a post where someone said that an M2 needs the same mods you need to do to a vanilla 2 to make it a "legit M" Whatever that means.

I just sold my F12 and I can tell you that the F87 does not need any mods. It rocks just the way it is but customising makes it special to the owner.

don't think so. the small turbo is not up for it.

I think that is what the BM3 tunes try to do. Take a look at the dyno results from tehboost and SeanWRT. SeanWRT is running a stage 1 turbo I believe, but his tune is certainly doing that.

I coded the following....


ASD off!! I nearly had a little tear in my eye when I drove her after this. Silence, no drone even after flicking though all the driving modes. All you hear now with the window down are the pop/crackle and bangs from the exhaust! TRUE SOUND!

Rear DRL's on

Triple Flash when locking

Immediate folding wing mirrors when locking

Auto stop/start default OFF.

Temp data on the tyre pressure screen

Seat belt beeps off

and some others but cannot remember.


I cannot express how better the car is without the ASD drone!! Like having a new car.
