Then if you update the phone app it insists you update the OBD agent FW to match when you next connect to the vehicle. I have a £30 DIY HW OBD agent made from a raspberry Pi device, but it works in the same way as PTF OBD agent and updates itself via the wifi connection. Yes you can just change in map config and re-flash |

Every time is see UPDATE from PTF, I get excited thinking it might be that they’ve cracked the DME blockade that’s blocking all of us with the April software. So far no news for us. Hopefully soon.

If it has been updated then a bench flash is your only option for BM3. Hopefully, this will change in the near?? Future? |

I don’t understand why we can’t get a proper update from protuningfreaks about the progress about the latest DME update?

And Is there a way to check what DME version your car is? I recently dropped it off and they had to change one of the amplifiers and code it to the car. I don’t think they would have flashed the DME software, but you never know… |

I didn’t think that a fuzzy Nav screen would require the DME to be messed with either but I was wrong. Unless you have a BM3 or similar gizmo I don’t think there’s a way to tell which exactly you have. I believe April 2019 was when it was implemented🤔 it’s a string of 3 or 4 rows of digits.

hey guys,
So, I just flashed my yr 2020 M2C with the m4 GTS TCU, and like evyerone else, the gear indicator in auto mode no longer exists...(should I just revert back to stock, what'd you guys say?) and also, I can't flash my M2C for some reason. I tried disabling all the firewall, antivirus, also used the same laptop that i used to flash my buddy's X4 m40i, and a completely different laptop just incase...and nothing seems to work...error msg i got was "Flashing your DME is not supported at this time" Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated. the car is a 2020 M2C with only 31 miles...do i have to wait until after the break in period??? HELP!!

I am currently running a Map from a UK tuner on my M2C which is all cool.. But i prefer the flexibility of going to bootmod3..
Question is i have the stock file which i can re-flash and is what i am now running. Now this stock file is back on the car. Can i go ahead and re-flash using BM3? Any help and advice appreciated. |

But it takes a few miles for CAT codes to come up, so maybe clear all codes on the dealer car park using BM3 then they'll only move it a few meters in and out of the shop.... |

I took my car in for the 10,000 mile service. I asked them if they would update the istep, he said that they never do it unless BMW has submitted a request for it. I still have the original istep version and the computer at the dealership showed that it is the latest version. I guess I'm good to go for BM3.

How do you know what version you have? I just got my car, 200miles on the odometer, and not sure if they would update anything upon my break-in service. Wanted to get bm3 shortly after
