Ahh thanks dude!!!!

Oooo - are they the 2NH/F10 calipers? Can these also be used with my existing 400mm EBC floating discs? If so that will save me having to change discs, and keep existing set up. OK I have ordered the brackets from Track/S but Can sell these on?

Caliper are the same so yeah you can shave it the same like the picture but i will not feel save to do so i know 2 guy’s doing it on M2C but i don’t gonna take the risk to remove that much of material on caliper better to remove less as possible

You need custom discs from paragonbrakes or girodisc 380x36mm

Emai Robin to order the custom girodisc rotor for the 2NH.

robin.adrianse@girodisc.com

Be sure to tell him that Derek referred you.

For every 5 referrals I get a set of free friction rings.

For track use I really like the PFC 332/331 (available from Bimmerworld).

Any pads that fits the 2NH caliper will also fit with the custom bracket and Girodisc/Paragon rotor.

Hey folks, some help and advice needed. This is the email I have sent to Robin @ Girodisc after conducting the test fit.I await his reply.

Hey Robin, i hope you're well.

We have today concudted a test fit using the Girodiscs I purchased, the modified caliper brackers & 5mm shims from Oleg (Track/S on Bimmerpost) my F10 6 Pot Calipers, currently housing EBC yellostuf pads, and an 18in 10j et25 Protrack One wheel.

The first observation is that the pad is VERY close to the hat bobbins, and i mean VERY close. Its not making contact with the pad, but to me its too close.

We have checked the outer friction ring edge, and the pad is aligned perfectly. Can you advise if this is correct, as I am concerned that when on track, and with the additional heat created that will expand the brakes, the pads could come in to contact with the hat bobbins?

I messaged Track/S and also StixR_ and they mentioned shaving the pads, but this isn't something I have seen mentioned on any forums? I will eventually be installing Endless ME20 pads, but assume tthe pad size would be the same as what I am currently running with my 400mm EBC floating discs, and have 20in wheels cyrrently.

With regards to the inner barrel/caliper clearence we have had to skim the top & bottom of the caliper, which was expected, and this isn't an issue

I haven’t heard prior mention of shaving the pads to help clear the hat/bobbins. Maybe it’s a Girodisc-specific issue. Or maybe it’s that particular set of pads. Have you compared yours to the photos in this thread and found them to be even closer?

Thanks buddy - I have ordered some M12x1.5mm & 2mm flat washers as i reckon that the caliper can come back that amount without impeading the outer edge of the friction disc. Will do a mock up on this, and will likely need to shave some of the caliper bridge as its alreay close to the inner barrel. I am still waiting for Robin @ Girodisc to advise, but I would have thought this info should have been shared prior to me purchasing the discs with the "custom hats" I'll also have a look at othe rthreads too.

Thanks to StixR_ for posting the photos for me

Soon enough you’ll have it resolved and begin realizing the benefits. Until then, try your best to enjoy the experimentation. I’m looking at it like this is something of a group collaboration with a number of moving parts, any of which can create enough change to disrupt the balance (aka consume more than their share of the precious space we’re toying with). There are some combinations that are working for some people and others that haven’t yet been proven. Maybe the Paragon rotors would be a better fit for your combination than the Girodisc. Or maybe it’s the pads, and others would yield a slightly better fit. In any case, it sounds like you’re within striking distance. Hang in there.

I echo your comments, and if it wern't for this forum I'd be none the wiser!!!!

I will keep the faith, and the build continues in readiness for my 3rd trip this year to the Nurburgring in August!!!!
