Hey Tom! have a 2017 OG M2 with stock suspension/alignment etc and don't plan to change any of that nor run spacers.
Will the EC7 18" wheels work without issue? My goal is to just eek a little more comfort by going down wheel diameter but upping sidewall profile. |

No rubbing at all from lock-to-lock up front or during road driving/bumps anywhere. I am also on H&R coils on the stock M2CS adaptive suspension and usually keep it in comfort mode. Such a small change in offset made a HUGE difference and I went way more aggressive on tires with the Toyo Proxes Sport Summer up front and Toyo RR (basically a slick with two single strips down the middle) for the rear. I can now really put down power and it feels VERY solid! Rain is less feasible than with CUP2’s but worth it since I don’t choose to drive it in weather.
The tires, if I forgot to mention it earlier in the the thread are 265/30/19 Front and 295/30/19 rear. There is a part of me that might go with a second set of rear wheels in the 19x11 variant with the Toyo RR when it needs new tires so I can put a second Toyo Proxes Sport on the current rear 19x10.5 for a more rain friendly setup for longer trips. I’m running down to Tail of the Dragon with some guys for a bachelor party next August from the Maryland area so I’m either at risk for 40mph highway runs in some rain or I can get a more consistent set of rears for trips like that. I’ll have to get ApexWheels to chime in on if I should be concerned about running the 19x11 as they 19x10.5 was more “bolt on friendly” and didn’t require any adjustments of camber or similar if it was really close somewhere.

Here's my quick review/pictures.
What I ordered: SM-10RS Satin Black Front:19x9.5 ET45 Rear: 19x10.5 ET 28 Total Cost + Tax: $2840.40 (shipping was free) Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Front: 265/30/19 Rear: 295/30/19 I followed their fitment guide and it worked like a charm. No issues at full lock. I'm on stock suspension. Packaging was nice. There was another larger box the wheels were in. Don't remember how long shipping was but it wasn't long at all. Here's the setup on stock suspension. Overall, its a nice and light wheel. The tire shop had a hard time getting the tires to seat properly due to the knurling on the inside. |

I would like these without the knurling. My last wheels that had this were a bitch to mount and took almost 80 psi to slowly seat. Thats fun to watch all the tire guys extend to air hose and back away😁 we don’t have enough horsepower to worry about the tire moving on the rims.

Agree, its just poorly executed though from APEX, my mind boggles that they didn't bother to check PS4S tyres on these rims before release - they are by far the most common tyre that buyers would fit, yet its a known issue that these rims struggle to allow PS4S to seat and then continue to leak air.
I have spent my entire winter so far topping up my tyre pressures every other day - no punctures, just constant air loss due to the rims. Other brands have knurled beads on their rims without this "feature", even some OEM manufacturer rims feature knurling. Better R&D needed in the future! Yep, I believe they wanted to reuse the OE tires and upgrade later. The photos were too good to waste, but the tire sizes on that car aren't what I'd recommend for most customers especially if you are sourcing new tires when buying Apex wheels.

Black on gold. Don’t think I’ve seen anyone running the gold on bsm yet! It’s definitely more of a white gold rather than a saturated yellow. It’s pretty insane in person.
