Ok,..."B Pillar" forward, it's nice; however, B-Pillar backwards,...heck-to-the-no!
The "Face" is kick'n!

Concept cars are an assembly of many exploratory directions. In this instance, one may detect that BMW is exploring if returning to the brand fundamentals is a worthwhile idea.
If that's the case - all for it. |

Sure would be nice if BMW came out with a concept “BMW.” Small, 2 door coupe with a high revving NA inline six, 6MT and low frills at 3000 lbs. They could charge a 10k emissions fee and they’d have people lined up for years.

While I don't love everything about it, I do LOVE the direction of bringing back classically iconic BMW front-ends and overall classic body design.
Concepts will always introduce some weird stuff, but yeah bring this the I/Z8 -- and give me an M version please.

I’m not sure what they are up to with it, there is nothing new on that apart from the vehicle type.
Grille looks a bit like the Vision M Next from 2019, rear lights a bit of iX, front lights a bit of X7 without the split and gear lever from current G models. So not a real look into the future, just a display of a different body style, maybe an „old“ concept? One more: Visible exhausts while every concept in the recent past was electric. Did they hire a new designer? Or are they just finally fed up with the complaints about their cars?
It's not perfect, a bit too much bling, but it's at least in the realm of something I would drive. |

It must be road legal, it has rear reflectors, rear camera, front tow hook, etc.

Everyone complaining should remember, the bar is low with recent BMW design. Take this as a win. It could have been worse, a whole lot worse.

Thank you BMW for the break from the recent abominations.
This is such a refresher. Feels like mid 2000s BMW design language is back. |

Love it. Way more attractive than any current new model debuts.

Certainly liking the direction, the rear is a bit “much” but Ita got some classic design elements back (even if the interior is a G15/16 lift)

At the right price point this would be a great commuter for just going back and forth to work during the pleasant months.

Cool I guess? But what is coming out of this concept? Is this another “these are some of our ideas we’re thinking of” but nothing really comes out of it? While the “old” design is appreciated, I don’t see a BMW going back to something subtle especially in within the current line up of cars.
This would be a good 6er revival though. |
