Just fitted mine, I can see how you can get gaps and fitment issues but if you persevere they fit very well. Mine are perfect fitment
Will upload pics later |

The color matches perfectly to the OEM trim. The plastic feels a bit less substantial than OEM but color wise it’s a match Mike |

I did it bros, i installed them today
They look good, Took like 2 hrs for me, but once you do the first mirror, the second should be half the time I will take some pics once I wash the car and put the tints on the mirror lights |

Also have issue where clear plastic of indicator sits proud of the housing. I read somewhere someone used a washer or two between the housing to hold everything slightly more apart.
Total fitment for me was about three hrs took my time. Fitment quality I'd say is good not excellent about 85% of OEM and they are certainly far cheaper than a retrofit! The LBB metallic is perfect however and car looks amazing with body coloured mirrors garnishing compliments. To each their own but way better than carbon or black IMO. No excess noise to note at motorway speeds. Electric folding works normal. The vinyl kit is not the best cut it could be made to fit better. I tried sticking straight down but used mild soap water to float it a bit into position. One of them has small amount of lifting the other doesn't. Going to look into a set from the chap in the US who has the thread in the cosmetic section. Overall pleased with the mirrors and car looks so much better. Just think that fitment issue with the indicator plastic sitting proud needs to be adjusted for now. https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=24598391 Last edited by 3t3p; 05-08-2019 at 02:42 AM.. |

I also used washers to space the indicator. It's a must if you want the indicator to properly line up. These mirrors caps are a good first attempt but they probably require a version 2 that fixes the issues with the ends and indicator not lining up properly.

Resurrecting this thread for any help getting that bottom tab into the slot to lock the cover in.
Installed the mirrors a couple weekends ago, passenger side was perfect and easy. I was really pleased with the fit and finish. But I ended up breaking the bottom tab on the driver's side, even though I knew exactly what to do and what to avoid! Got a replacement cover and I still can't seem to get it in the slot. The bottom slot seems like it is at a much more acute angle, I can't angle the cover into the slot like I see in this autoid install video (at 17:50 mark): . (FWIW, these are the Autotechnic ones sold by IND which look identical in every install I've seen). |

Debating if I should save the money with the gloss black mirrors for my BSM car or pay the extra and do BSM painted.
