Today while driving home my car lost power and power steering. The i-drive display said continue driving at moderate speeds to service. I limped it a few miles home and pulled the codes off the car. I ended up with five different codes from the dme and another code from the power steering. The first codes I have for the dme are 150102, 140010, 140110, 140001, and 140101. The first code is cylinder one combustion period too short and the second code is misfires on several cylinders. The third code is misfire in cylinder one. The fourth code was combustion misfires several cylinders fuel injection switched off. The fifth code was cylinder 1 misfire fuel injection switched off. I also had a power steering code 4823fc eps voltage supply under voltage at the control unit, reduction of steering servo. My first thought was did my crank hub just spin. I decided to pull the spark plug in cylinder one and found a broken spark plug. The plug looks completely intact except the entire center now spins freely in the threads. No signs of any impact to the plug. The coil is covered in what looks like potentially oil and combustion byproducts. Has anyone seen this before?

What year and how many miles on the car and/or on the spark plugs?

This situation sounds like aged spark plugs that simply need to be changed. I'd do a thorough inspection of your valve cover gasket.

The car is a 2020 m2 with 26k miles and about 6k on the plugs. The plugs are the bosch m oem plugs ordered from bimmer world. The car is completely stock aside from coding the asd off and removing the carbon filters in the intake. I changed the bad plug and coil for a new one and the car seems to be running ok now.
