Mystery wire

Can anyone tell me what this wire is for? Its location is behind the glove box near the center. 2007 328xi.

Looks like the connector that would fit into the socket for charging the glovebox flashlight? I honestly can't remember if the flashlight had male connectors that plug into a socket, or if it's the other way around...
