Advice on CF Cosmetic Mods in 2023
With a M2C with no CF parts or exterior mods for 2 years now, (besides 763M) the body of the F87 is starting to get somewhat boring for me, especially with all the new modified G87's rolling out.
I was looking into Front lip, sideskirts, diffuser, rear spoiler all in either M-performance or CS parts, but this again is pretty common and not really inspiring. Looking for input on aftermarket kits! Criteria: Daily Street / Weekend Canyon car Non-replicas Almost OEM like fitment Would like to keep same brand for at least frony/side/diffuser for design flow Any recommendations? Is OEM just the best outcome in the end? Looked into Adro, any experiences?

Off the top of my head, I can think of 3 other original designs.
3D Designs Turner RKP Personally, I find the F87 doesn't really mod well because the original design is quite subdued and understated (IMO in a good way). It's more mature looking than it lends itself out to be and there aren't many egregious body lines, bulges, or flares to work with compared to, say, a Supra. Outside of a GTS hood, you're possibly looking at a widebody kit if you'd like it to stand out more. My own car for reference. I feel like I'm suspension, wheels, and a hood away from bringing out the best I can for this car, street-wise. |

Yea completely agree, it's got the classic lines but just lacking in the "new" department, maybe it will have the e46 m3 vibe in a few years.
What sides and diffuser do you have?

The F87 in its stock form looks so damn good that its hard to suggest much beyond a few little things. A diffuser and exhaust tips are a must; beyond that, little trim pieces here and there is all it takes to have a beautiful car.
The little things go a LONG way imo, like a nice license plate frame and tinted windows. Good luck with whatever you choose!

I have M Performance carbon fiber parts. Diffuser, spoiler, interior kit, M Performance exhaust with carbon tips to name a few. OEM parts look better after a few years of wear.

Well just to update, I got the OEM CS Spoiler to start off- Figured this is the most visible and alot of the replicas I saw had wavy? clearcoat finishes.
I am pretty set on the TRE Autoid's CS-style lip and rear diffuser, the TRE line with prepreg carbon actually has two years warranty which is unheard of in other replicas. I'm hoping this guarantees a better quality than other replicas. Final decision to make is the sideskirts- TRE has a M-perf replica winglet as well, and is probably the safer bet to flow with the CS front, but I am getting over the whole winglet design. Maybe a simple straight sideskirt across the entire rocker panel will be more aggressive?

FYI, I just received and installed the RW Carbon CS front splitter. That thing fit like a glove. I was pleasantly surprised. Quality and weave look pretty good too. The longevity aspect of it I obvious still need to find out. The clear coat doesn't seem super thick to my eyes and touch, but we'll see how it plays out. I don't expect front splitters to age particularly well anyways. I wish they had a dry/matte carbon, feel like it would look better longer.

Great! Yea RW would be my second pic since they are local, well-known company, but AutoID just seemed like higher long-term quality- Just waiting for Black Friday to order all the aero at once!
I think ceramic coating might help the RW lip last a bit longer! Plan to do the same to all my pieces later.

Hi
I have the Suvneer side skirts for over a year now. Can you expand a little about how you installed them as far as placement and attaching them? Thanks in advance. |
