New Air to Water Intercooler
When i picked up my car from stagefp yesterday i got a sneak peak at their new intercooler coming early next yr. Its currently setup for the n52/54 cars, but will be modded for n55. Just need some mounts for the dme..Ports for fuel injection will be milled as an option. its setup like the b58 intercooler/core. Will have exchanger or ice box config too..

They already have what I assume to be a prototype on the N52 that's supercharged for 458whp. He's a member on here, and you can see his build with the W2A intercooler for the N52.

Yeah, thats the prototype. Being tested on the track..They are going hard on n52’s. Turbo manifold and kit, plus the intercooler. Cars can be had cheap too now that b58 and n54 are the most sought after..

On the phone with Bob now, it sounds like a few things in the pipeline. The intake manifold, possibly cams (he said N52) My dyno tune and a turbo manifold for the N52.

Very interesting. Do you have any information on the pump and heat exchanger setup? Because this potentially opens the window for us N55 guys to run the full sized S55 radiator setup - and therefore solve the coolant over heating issue. I wonder if stage fp would be willing to create a larger radiator kit for us.
ZM2 this might be something that becomes of interest to you in the future.

Feel you. Luckily my heart and wallet get along well and I love this car….Being patient thru the tuning process is key though….Like having everything ready and then an injector fails..Can’t change platforms cause of it, just take a breath and fix it 😉

Might be a curtain call all together. I'll still get those final MILVS numbers, but the more I think about it the more I'm not sure I have the stomach to do all this extra work. We'll see. |
