N Screen protector installed.... note that I am an amateur at installing these things so I think with a professional install it will look amazing. This is likely our solution to the scratching issue.

Likely that I used too much soap to lube it and this thing is probably the most powerful dust magnet known to man.... im sure a pro installer will know how to perfect this. |

I’d say go for it, the matte finish on mine seems a bit blurred in my opinion…I did Matte for the cluster and Entertainment system, gloss for the environmental display. Also, I recommend taking the cluster out to install because all of the tight spots are tough. I have some imperfections but it’s better than the scratches. I’ll take another crack at it later…

just hoping for an update on folks that have a film over the LCI cluster. hard to see in the pictures but how are they holding up and do they really mask the scratches underneath the film (ontop of coating)?

All - as nobody for some reason has ever posted, I had a few etched/stained areas on the cluster. I tried a waterless wash on a microfiber and it didn’t touch it.
I then used PlasticX on a brand new microfiber high nap side and very gently wiped it on, not much pressure at all, mostly let the microfiber do the work, wiped it clean and it worked well (took two passes but worked!) |
