Body shop recommendation?
So, my car has finally made it to the PNW!
Somewhere between Duisburg German and Port Hueneme, it picked up some minor damage so the right rear fender/bumper and the front bumper need painting. I was wondering if anyone has a body shop they would recommend? I’m out on the peninsula but I’ll take it to wherever it will get taken care of properly? Same issue with tint, anyone know a good tint shop? Thanks!!

I would take it to Haury’s. It is a BMW certified body shop and the owner is active in the local BMWCCA chapter. Here is a link to their website: https://hauryscollision.com/
P.S. I have to admit that I have used them myself and have been very satisfied. My E46 M3 was hit while parked and the hit and run driver caused several thousand of dollars of damage.

If you want another option - I had my F87 worked on by Metro Auto Rebuild in SoDo after a I got a huge dent from some old lady who changed lanes into me on Mercer. They did a fantastic job - really thorough and extensive - but they had a few weeks backlog (declared upfront) and it took a few weeks more then they had originally estimated (they said 2-3, took ~5). They're also one of two shops that BMW Seattle sends you to.
Cons - I don't have other quotes to compare against, but I suspect they're on the more expensive side if that's relevant to you. The whole shop is full of Teslas and German luxury cars. Perfectly fine by me in this situation since it wasn't my fault, and my insurance wasn't paying.

I didn’t have that problem with Haury’s. Another choice would be R N R in Bellevue. http://www.rnrauto.com/

Another recommendation is Pacific Auto Body on Airport Way in Seattle. They are a certified BMW repair facility (as is Haurys), and did an excellent repair the one time I needed them. BMW Seattle recommended them to me.

I would also recommend Pacific Autobody for quality. They repaired my M2c when it got rear-ended. The big con is that they are very well known to be a great body shop so it WILL take a long time to get in there.

I’m just finding all these old thread and bumping them haha! I’ve missed these forums.
Another +1 for Pacific Auto Body. They did great work for me in 2020. It’s been almost 4 years and to my eyes the paint still matches. Attached is the damage they fixed back then. I’m now planning to go back for another damage I did to my car (UGH). This experience has been kind of shit though compared to last time just cause it was a 2 month wait for an estimate and then 5 month wait to start repairs. I’m still waiting … scheduled for late March. I hope they do a good job but I’m scared because they have to repaint the entire passenger door. Glad to see other people mentioning them in this thread cause on these forums I rarely see them mentioned … but they did good by me last time. Heard they got a new owner in 2023 though so I’m hoping that doesn’t affect their quality. I guess I’ll know more in a few months and/or years with this larger repair/repaint that I have coming my way. |
