I just received my Remus *sport* axleback today, and measured the OD of the outlets with a digital caliper.
The min and max OD’s, as measured across all four outlets are: 59.49mm/2.342” to 60.35mm/2.376” -Ash EDIT - based on the min/max Remus outlet OD specs, the custom exhaust manufacturer recommended I go with 2.380" ID tips. Once I get them and fit them I will report back on that. Last edited by ashmostro; 04-14-2022 at 06:38 PM.. |

The 2.38” ID custom tips fit perfectly onto the Remus exhaust. I highly recommend going the custom tips route if you are getting a Remus, given how stupid expensive their tips are.
I paid $75/ea for these. Website is www.42draftdesigns.com |

So I ordered some generic carbon tips off eBay to replace the Remus race stainless steel tips. I was looking for something close to the OEM look with not much of a big diameter as the Remus tips. So far I am satisfied. The inlet was 2.5in total length was about 162mm. Although I might order tips with a total length of 170mm to allow them stick out more. The seller on eBay had different diameters and different lengths and it came straight from a factory in china 🤷🏿*♂️

They look good! I almost bought those same tips myself! I prefer the all-metal look for my CS since it looks closer to stock.
How much did you have to crush the 2.5” tip inlets down onto the Remus outlets? |

Thanks. While I was waiting on my custom tips to be built, for giggles I bought several Amazon 2.5” tips to fiddle with and they were all way too loose for my taste. Maybe these all have some variation to them.
FWIW, I am not happy with my Remus back box at all though. The fitment is terrible and I’m likely going to have to go with something else… |

Yeah I had so many issues aligning the Remus race box cos it came in so many pieces. Coupling it with the AA EL midpipe was a different hassle.

I have the remus race exhaust with non remus tips,
I have tried both and can confirm that the 60mm inlet diameter works perfectly for mine, tried the 63mm also and it was a tad too loose. Make sure you get an exhaust tip with enough length or it sits too far in. For reference the tips I'm using are Length : 175mm Inlet: 60mm Tip Size (what you see) = 90mm

(Look at the fitment on the right. I know the left side is off in this pic, I have not had time to adjust them yet.) Last edited by jayee88; 06-12-2023 at 11:31 AM.. |
